Hitachi Radio Questions

I have searched, and still, I am Stumped :angry:

 

Got a hitachi radio out of a 79 510 goon, and I cant figure it out...this is sad

 

It has five wires...

 

Blue w/ red stripe

 

Black w/ green stripe

 

Green w/ white stripe

 

White

 

White w/ black

 

Think the last two are speaker....

 

Fuse is good, have a switched wire for power, but get squat...

 

 

Anyone know??

 

Its going in my 521....some p/o hacked the dash, but have a console out of a king cab im putting it in..

The wiring diagram is on the top of every Hitachi radio I've seen except the early 70s ones.

 

Post a pic of the wiring plug. They go by position, not color. But my 1983 is:

Blue: POWER

Black: Ground

Red/white: ground/dimmer for light

Green/white; + for light

B/W + B: speaker

Brown/White + B: speaker

ggzilla, I thought it should have a sticker too, but shes w/o....

 

cant take a picture thanks to the ghetto scum who stole my wifes at work this week....

 

but, the pigtail has five wires, ill go top left to right

 

1 2 3

/ 4 5

 

1 black w green stripe

 

2 green w white stripe

 

3 blue w red stripe

 

4 white w black stripe

 

5 white
