Nissan_Boy85
Is it possible to fix the press fit dipstick tube? It got pulled out during the rebuild last fall and it seems to be a fairly big source of my leaking oil (besides the timing cover, damn RTV....) and I was wondering if it would be easily re-pressed? datzenmike
I would think you could remove, degrease it, apply some gasket sealer and press back in, let dry. Gasket sealer NOT rtv silicone shit, this ain't no chevy valve cover! Permatex makes a good one. Clear blue, thick like toothpaste. Used it on my differential. Becomes leathery not gooey like silicone. Quote Link to comment
calistile
Wondering if any of you ever got to this? I picked up a 510 and I see a lot of oil coming out from the oil tube since it is no longer secure. Quote Link to comment

calistile
Hmmm. Ok. I don't think a little shot of the Permatex gasket sealer wouldn't hurt though. I think... Quote Link to comment
