I would think you could remove, degrease it, apply some gasket sealer and press back in, let dry. Gasket sealer NOT rtv silicone shit, this ain't no chevy valve cover! Permatex makes a good one. Clear blue, thick like toothpaste. Used it on my differential. Becomes leathery not gooey like silicone.
