littlekeeley
Slapping SU's onto my L16. bought them with a manifold made from a 260z (i think), but i'm having clearance issues with my current thermostat housing. I was told by Autohero I need an earlier Thermostat housing, however because the conversation was short (was on the bus texting) i don't know what specifically i'm looking for. How rare? How much? Although he pointed me here of all places to try and snag one. What i need is, confirmation on what i need from you guys - and pointed in the right direction to buying one. I'M LOOKING FOR A HOUSING THAT WILL LET ME INSTALL MY CARBS TO MAKE MY CAR RUN AND BE HAPPY ON AN AUTOX TRACK. PLEASE HELP THIS CAUSE! you are all gangsters. thanks for helpin a brother out Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
Never heard of this before. Most L16 had the same looking housing. One had a bypass outlet to the water line. Is this what is getting in the way? Jeff Hino and Frank I bet have stacks of them in Everett. If they didnt throw that shit away. Quote Link to comment
littlekeeley
yes, it is the bypass that's getting in the way. can i find one from somewhere like schucks or napa, if so is it specific to the roadster / 510 / whatever else may have had a housing like this? i will PM Jeff and Frank... but i dont think i know their names on here... (well at least i'm not a n00b.... right). this is the only thing standing between me and my car running again so any help would be great considering i have a potential auto x event coming up on the 6th. thanks everyone Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
stat housing no water pass hole 11061-21000 from nissan then you need the water line that dont have the outlet . Ray know jeffs(icehouse) he can call. But everything is at Franks place I always get spares of the stat housing as over time the temp sender get corroded in there and dont come out. One ends up cracking them. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Pull the outlet pipe and put and screw in a plug. Quote Link to comment
littlekeeley
Mike - If iwent that route, i would only hope it would be threaded in enough so i could grind away as much as i need to make the carbs fit. Hainz, thanks for the part number, i'll check it out on the asap - hope its not too expensive, but i'll talk to ray and see what he thinks thanks both of you Quote Link to comment
