Phixius
I had the same problem in my 521. What I did to fix mine was adjust the pedal stop, I just back off the jam nut where the lever rests on a rubber stop and tighten it a tuch (for more pedal travel). see if that helps. kmc63
That was my first thought. Did that fix it? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Tail or running lights are one thing then there are the brake lights. Which one is it because adjusting the brake switch won't help the running lights. Quote Link to comment

Which one is it because adjusting the brake switch won't help the running lights. Good call. But, if his running lights are on though, then his marker (front/side) lights would be on aswell, right? If its just the rears, I would assume its the brake. But if it is the running lights, I would check the Headlight Switch first, either with a multimeter or with a different switch and go rom there. banzai510(hainz)
go the the brake pedal and look what the switch is doing. On my 521 the plate that pushes the the brake light switch broke. thus the switch extends the plunger out thus shortng out the switch leaving the light on. I JB Welded a penny on the brake arm thus puses the switch in when Peadal is exdended SIMPLE FIX or swithc is just bad. ohm it out. plunger out is shorted plubger In its a Open Quote Link to comment

hang_510
so it was the brake lights and not the taillights... <_< glad you got it fixed! Quote Link to comment
