dennis
My Horn on my 72 510 is not working. I know it is the directly across from the fuse panel on the strut tower. My question is this? What is the color of the trigger wire off the steering wheel? And is it supposed to be to a positive or negative trigger? Quote Link to comment
nismo dr
Try cleaning the contacts on the switch, thats all it took to get my horn working Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
wiggle the horn fuse . Just because it looks good dont mean its good. Mine was bad cause the wire broke on the back side of fuse box and my tail lights werent working(yes it uses the same circut ) So to make troubel shooting EZ if your tail brake lights work then the fuse is good. there is a loose wire comming from the turn sig connecter I think its green. I believe this puts a ground on the relay(when horn switch is pushed IN, m,aybe just find that wire ,using a ohm meter ground one end. then find wire. then push on horn and if ohm meter goes to Zero/short then the steering wheel putton is good Quote Link to comment
dennis
I cleaned the connectors on the horn relay and the relay itself and nothing. It is dead. I will just wire up a SPDT relay. I didnt want to test all the wires to determine there function but I guess I will have to. Quote Link to comment

dennis
lol My passenger side horn kind of fell apart when I was looking at it yesterday. The drivers side is still in tact. I will probably run air horns, they scare the crap out of people. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
test the horn relay. They hardley get used. I bet it will work if you just test it or clean the contacks. Jap relays and switches are good quality Quote Link to comment
elmerfudpucker
I will probably run air horns, they scare the crap out of people. That is the other reason I want to tube the rear bumper on my truck for an airtank! :D Quote Link to comment
dennis
My relay was toast. I cleaned the contacts and quickly tested it with the battery and no relay click. I wired in a bosch SPDT relay and it is working great, just one horn and it works fine. Quote Link to comment
