85NAPSZ
Well, a while back my OE shift began cracking. So, I went to the local machine shop and had a billet one "custom built", which sounded cool at the time. Then this lovely Alabama summer comes around, and my shift knob reaches insane temps, to the point where I can't even use it. Stupid on my part, I know. So I bought a nice little knob from the local yard and went to install it..didn't happen. Turns out the jackass glued his knob down. What do I do? Quote Link to comment

]2eDeYe
It'll get nice and cold in the winter too. You can pull the shifter and either: A. Get that shifter from the local yard and install it. B. Dip it in some handle dip Good discussion on it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=224735 Quote Link to comment
hang_510
is it just glued? or threaded and glued??? I guess my glovey will have to do for now. which one? Quote Link to comment
85NAPSZ
It's tightly threaded and epoxied. It won't budge whatsoever, even after a healthy dose of PB blaster. And it's more like the first one, just gold. Quote Link to comment

85NAPSZ
The three 720s here are stripped. No engines, transmissions, nothing. I'll just wait 'til I try my 280z shifter swap. Quote Link to comment
