Dancingbear
First off, that car is boss. Nice work, shame to let her go. I deal with this idea of getting money back out of a car alot, because my wife brings it up. Here's what I think. A new weekender or daily driver of equivalent performance and style could cost $35k or more. By the time it is paid off, it's worth 2/3 to 1/2 of the original value, plus the car cost 1/3 more than actual cost thanks to interest. So, the $35k car that actually cost $45k is worth $17k after 5 years, maybe less, and it's only going down in value. So, at 5 years the owner is down $28k and gaining. The old weekend car costs maybe $3000 to start, and over 3 years eats up another $30k. Done right, after a few years the $3000 classic is worth $17,000 and actually cost $33000. So, the owner is in the hole $16k, with a car that is likely gaining value. Plus, it belongs to the owner in a way the no stock EVO possibly could. In terms of dollars-and-sense, the old car is clearly the winner, and I'd say it's a better ownership experience. Win-Win. And, no smog. Win-Win-Win Not trying to jack the thread, just say'n. thisisthenewsic
Yes it's Justins old car. He left me with a car that needed wayyyyyyy to much work than what was told to me. He sold me the car with a blown engine and trans. Not installed in the car. I myself with the price I bought the car for and the money I have into it have that much into it. I didn't go cheap on anything I did with this car. It's my daily and I need a more practical car. I know anyone who buys this car will enjoy it. I sure do. It's just I feel it's better to cut my losses now then get in more deep and loose more later willing to work with the price it's obo don't be affraid to offer. Link to comment

yellowdatsun
Looks like you already took care of it, I was going to mention that no one will buy a 510 for $10k with an interior looking like that. It's a really good looking car, it just gets hard to find buyers up in that price range. Link to comment

kmc63
That is a nice looking car. I think it would look even better without fender mirrors, wheel well flares, and extra holes in the hood for pins. If a car is that straight with a nice paint job I cant see putting a bunch of jewelry on it,but im getting older and prefer the traditional look. Link to comment
