Need a good belt right about now....

I took 3 seat belts out of a donor truck and the one bad one in my truck.Now none of the *&^(ing things will extend.I know i'm missing something simple-right?

Are they bolted in? sometimes it has to do with the angle of the dangle. out of the car they don't pull out but when you bolt them in, they slide right down.

That sounds familiar. I had some 620 belts out and grabbed them and expected them to unwind but they didn't.

 

Thinking of finding them and seeing if they will fit into my 710. I hate those belts. They don't cinch up right somehow and seem loose.

hey z, the dangler may have gotten cocked side ways( no pun intended), had the same thing happen a while back, they have hung for so long upright that when laid down they get stuck inside some how, shake em up a little and see if that helps, did it a while back on one of my trucks, i was stumped for days, and out of anger i shook them up, and they worked, give it a try...tom

Take it apart, clean it, lube it. They probably have a bunch of crap stuck in the mechanism -- you know, car funk... petrified McDonalds fries, sandwich crumbs, sand, pebbles, spilled coffee...
