pl521sss
My 521 has taken a toll on the clutch after much abuse (Pikes Peak, Dakar). :D I love the low gears on these trucks and clutch no longer holds. No more room for adjustment either. I've heard about using the Roadster clutch on these engines. Cause it grabs better than the original L16 clutch. Currently running L16 with 4 speed trans. My question is which year of Roadster should be use for this. Quote Link to comment

71-521
and you will have to hunt down a 200mm flywheel to match that up with... Quote Link to comment
hang_510
'should' be 200mm w/ a stock L16, but you are correct. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I can just see you at the lights, left leg quivering with the strain of holding that clutch pedal down, and mentally counting the number of stop signs and gear shifts till you get home.:D Quote Link to comment

Will verify once I take the transmission out. 200mm is the surface I'm guessing on the flywheel? How about throw out bearing? Do I need it from Roadster as well or just pressure plate and clutch disk? Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
pl521SSS just get the Roadster clutch as per the part# above everything elese is the same. L16s only come with 200mm flywheels anyway the pressureplate mounts right up on there and you use the stock disc and T/O per your vehicle. or you can order a from Daiken/Exedy for a say 69-70 2000 Roadster I ordered mine thru nissanparts.cc http://www.nissanparts.cc/cart/?pn=30210-20111&submit=Search PS buy a new slave cylinder for sure cause theis clutch are DOUBLE the clamping force(master or slave could blow out if old). Be honest for a stock near stock daily driver I would keep the stock clutch. Quote Link to comment
