HRH
Bearings are in Europe, 6-8 weeks out, 25 bucks a bearing, shipping unknown. Ordering them tomorrow in the AM! Quote Link to comment
HRH
$7 shipping from Europe. 8 weeks means 8 weeks, just got the bearing today. Isn't it pretty? I already decided to go rack and pinion, but I think I may finish rebuilding and swap in the box to see how it feels. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I got all excited playing with the steel balls! :D "Yeah, like that, wait, no not that, yeah, there we go." - Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (You guess the scene) . What's in his hand? Quote Link to comment

Spades
Sorry to necro this thread, but does anyone know if there is a good additive for the 510 steering box? I was going to use some yellow metal safe Sta-Lube 80w90 to top off my gear box, but due to my exhaust set up and the motor swap, my gearbox is subjected to more heat than normal and was wondering if there was a good additive to help compensate? Also, do you think a aluminum heatshield next to my header would do any good? The flange on my downpipe on my NAPSZ24 is the part right next to the steering box, so I can't really thermal wrap the part that is heating up the box the most...but I have enough room for a thin aluminum heatshield, I am just worried it may trap hot air and create more problems.
