driftmeister
hi guys can i fit S13 front struts in a 510 ? if not will the springs fit Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
I've asked this question before. The response I got was, "Not without extensive modifications". Pretty much, unless you're wanting to do some serious fab-work, this probably isn't going to work out. It's not a direct bolt-up, in other words. Quote Link to comment
Duke
Yes you can. It does require some fab work, but it can be done. Here is a little how to. Installing S13 coilovers Quote Link to comment
ichorid
The ones talked about on the realm are awesome. Completely changed my mind on srtut/coilovers. I'll be building a set of those Quote Link to comment
paradoxx
interesting write up.... Quote Link to comment

Papi Chulo
No one has done the 240sx coils in the rear yet? Quote Link to comment
ichorid
if you take a gander at the realm post they say its just too much work for end result. It wouldn't be cheaper and you wouldn't gain that much. Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
I don't understand the write-up, but whatever. Probably more work than what I need. 280zx struts will work just fine. Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
No one has done the 240sx coils in the rear yet? when i find a set for cheap i will be doing the rear as well, it can be done Quote Link to comment
driftmeister
thanks guys 280zx it is then when i find a set for cheap i will be doing the rear as well, it can be done Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
Interesting setup. I like how you can adjust the ride height without adjusting the ride. I'll just be happy to get my 280zx stuff up front....but they can be modified for this setup later, which is an added bonus :) Quote Link to comment

BoostinBen
Someone should mod the ksport air ride coilover kit into a 510 that would be baddazz Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
the K-sports have a aluminum lower bracker where it bolts to the spindal so unlike the megans you cant weld it to the 280zx or 200sx spindal, not saying somthing couldnt be figured out but it would be alot more work Quote Link to comment
dimedriver
I've read threw the write up a few times and really like the idea. The only thing that scares me is the price. I would like to do this. But I want to make it myself. I need to find some internally threaded tube that is compatible with the externally threaded tube sold in the diy coil over "kits". I would also need externally threaded tube longer than 7 inches. I think I will just buy three externally threaded tubes and cut one if half and use that as the ride height adjustment section of the strut. 3.5 inches of ride height adjustment would be pretty bad ass. What dampener would be the best choice for this? The megan page does not list how many inches of travel that one has. Building something camparable would be much cheap if a nice dampener could be sourced cheaply. -Dime Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
There is 3.5 inches of travel on the fronts and if you get a used set you can pic them up cheap I payed 300 for a set of 4 used ones Quote Link to comment
