banzai510(hainz)
a overcgarged battery will cook the water out then look good with a volt meter. but the cells die out. But usually the car wont start(load test) have a volt meter in the car helps detect certain proplems befor it Ruins something else. In my case overcharging my battery. or when your turning up the heater, headlites wipers you can see if your sytem is loading down. Edited December 7, 2009 by banzai510(hainz) Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
My thoughts on Skibs......even on a partially charged battery, the alt will still put out enough volts to run everything. I'm thinking that his alt is not charging...eventually, his bat gets weak, lights dim....then he hits a bump and the alt comes back online....putting out enough juice to make the lights bright. A bad connection(internally) can be good while cold, then open as it gets hot. The bump might be jarring it back into position. Quote Link to comment
