howdy. so me and the lady friend were driving out to my moms house and she goes "something just sprayed me." so i reach down and theres apparently coolant spraying out from the hose to the heater core. so instead of fixing the problem for now i was thinking to just bypass he heater core for now. could any of you show me a picture or something where a bypass hose would go? i know so far that theres 2 hoses. one TO the heater core and one FROM the heater core.

Look in your engine compartment. You should see the two heater hoses and where they attach to the engine.

Drain the cooling system. Remove both hoses from the engine. Take the one hose that looks like it might reach from one engine connection to the other, and hook it up. Your heater is bypassed.

You could also disconnect both hoses at the heater, and use a short piece of pipe of the right diameter to connect the two ends of the heater hose together.

That 4 inch hose is readily available from NAPA. Think it's a 987 if I remember right, anyway, just get a 5/8s 90 degree bend section. It'll cost 6 bucks, and it's easy to get at. The 620s aren't too hard.
