jeremy_sr510
off to a good start, that manifold will crack even with bracing and rewelding. the issue with those manifolds are they are thin walled so in time you will buy another... for the about the price your paying for that one i can make you a top mount log manifold out of 304 SS.... check out the one i made on my 1200 if your interested... keep up the good work! Ok I'm interested so you can make one with ss flanges and 304 1/8th ss pipe, with stainless welds. ever make a log one before? any pics if you did? how long will it take you to get the parts and get'er done? is it MIG or TIG welded? is the T2 flange welded right on the top of the log or is it lifted up a little? and how much would it cost? also would have to be shipped with USPS. Thanks Jeremy Quote Link to comment

jeremy_sr510
ill get all the updates and pics up some time today motor is here! surge tank built and more.... since we are on a budget we are going with a cheap manifold for now... see how long it will last. then later down the road build one.... also bought a vw rad... looks like this one.. so the manifold... will a forward top mound fit in there? i think it will..... fo0manchu
yes it will but you have to fabricate up a intake pipe with some good bends and make sure you get enough distance between the maf and turbo. thats pretty much the same manifold i used on my ka24 turbo. It was suppose to be a bottom mount, i just flipped it and welded on a t3 flange. Also, my filter is on the other side of the fender well. Quote Link to comment
jeremy_sr510
just noticed the turbo will have to be taken apart then rotated.... like the one above. but then using the stock wast gate i need to make a mount or something to put the actuator back on... if it fits. jeremy_sr510
finally an update for you guys.... front BJ's and control arm bushings... there was a little play and i had polyurethane bushings that came with the car, i had to take out the camber adjustment ones tho. kinda sucks see how it works with out them and with the bump steer spacers.... surge tank.... only paining we are doing..... sr came... Blitz bov and filter... checking out stuff.... bought spark plugs, belt, thermostat(91 sentra SE-R), and oil filter, also more gauges for the car.... tonight I changed the thermostat, took off the oil pan cleaned it and tapped out the little dent, turbo and manifold off, pulled the trans to check out the clutch. One problem the harmonic balancer was coming apart. called jdmsource and told him. He seemed surprised, sent them pics of it they said they would get me one. I was very surprised how clean it was. nice to work on. Every nut and bolt just comes off like its new. Quote Link to comment

jeremy_sr510
also sway bar installed, came with bushings but no clamps so i used my old clamps and had to drill out my 7/8th bushings... motor mounts i found at work... verry hard, same thickness as stock L series mounts, should work with couple washers. fisch
Still lovin the hell out of this man!! That surge tank is teh bees knees. I jsut read this quote on speedhunters, and I thought you would like it. "The type of people that modify their cars to have this "rat" look don't purposely do it. They get these cars looking ragged and beat up. But rather than fixing it up to be clean and hiding the wear, tear, and most importantly, it's history, they choose to keep all that exposed. Why hide history? History builds character. If you build from history, you'll find that you're always in a better place." Quote Link to comment
jeremy_sr510
ya thats a good one.. motor is now in. used my stock mounts with shims, made a trans mount... pics tomorrow camera's dead now. Quote Link to comment

sycloned916
Ignitor yes. I got rid of the egr and boost sensor works fine for me. Look for the plug with the 7-8 wires you need on Pg#1,i think the plugs are on the wires with the two cylinders things on it,I'll check mine in abit. Just go by the print out and you'll be fine. I just cleaned you the rest of the wires not used and tucked them up and away! Quote Link to comment
