Sealik
id like that center console switch panel if he dont Will keep that......since I have no others. Just need some lights.:D Quote Link to comment
steve g
that switch panel means it either came with a push bar or roll bar with lights, but if it came with bolth it would have had 2 green switches Quote Link to comment
Sealik
There are mounting holes on the guard......push bar. Quote Link to comment
Sealik
Which would make one conclude that the guard is.....? Factory? Quote Link to comment
steve g
the pushbar you have is dealer installed not "factory installed" Quote Link to comment
steve g
OR OR OR OR........ look in the bed for roll bar holes!!!!!!! Quote Link to comment
Sealik
Give me 12 min....shall snap a pic Quote Link to comment
Sealik
Well ....I can't really see in the bed....canopy and all:) Looks like there was a tonneau/bed cover on it at one time Here are the holes for the lights. And the tray....again Quote Link to comment
Sealik
Thing is....that truck hasn't been washed and or touched, in many...many moons. Shall look a little 'different' in a week.... Quote Link to comment
Sealik
So....I have "off road lights" and "fog lights"....off/kc/on. Can't all be mounted on the upper part of the guard. Correct? Gonna assume there are at least 4 lights. Hmmmm. Edited October 27, 2009 by Sealik Quote Link to comment
Sealik
Well...I got the 720 running.....finally Couldn't figure out why no gas would come out of the fuel tank. Changed the relay, fuses....and then the pump. Still nothing....then I pulled the hose off the side of the tank and hit it with some air.....nothing....totally blocked. Stuck a wire in about 7 inches and auged it out. Finally....I could blow air into the tank. But why.....???? They said the truck was ran out of fuel.....not. Smells like varnish. Changed the accelerator pump because it was leaking.... I assumed. Not....was coming from the top of the carb Pulled the front of the carb off and cleaned it up......needle was stuck. Lots of crud. Put another filter before the carb so I could flash it up and move it into my 'shop'. Obviously the tank is full of shit....which is why the fuel sending unit is NFG. I'll drop the tank and clean it out, but....I could use some knowledge on this endeavour. Thanks Quote Link to comment
Sealik
Update.... Changed the windshield, 'windshield wiper' valence, passenger window, gas tank (cleaned up) and found another sending unit in my back fourty:cool: Installed a front driveshaft....was missing. Replaced the ignition switch (soldered in) and plastic pieces that cover the steering column. Replaced the heater switch/harness (soldered in), and cover for switches. Pulled the seat and carpet.....dryed them out....shall install on weekend Changed the fluids Replaced thermostat and installed block warmer. Changed the tires and rims Gave it a quick wash.....but needs a good pressure wash. Just realized that it's a long bed......wanted to put on a better canopy I have....but no fit. Mine are all for short beds Still much to do.... Quote Link to comment
izzo
did you change the hood also? The pics above it shows rust on the hood and some dings, then the final picture doesnt Quote Link to comment
Sealik
Yes.... the hood......and hinges Pretty sure the hood went through the windshield. It has a couple of dings in it.....(from me) Was covering up another front end of a truck....didn't think I would ever need it. Being that I have about 11 out side....... It was the only one I had that matched the color of the truck Quote Link to comment
Sealik
I also replaced the back bumper.....shall paint it ...again...in the spring Quote Link to comment
izzo
Should hook me up with a couple of em, even it out a bit. I only have 3  Quote Link to comment
Sealik
Well.....drop by then.....:lol: I'm having a free pick n' pull. I also removed some of the unstable black crap on the floor and slathered. Moisture gets under there....not good. Also....have to mount one of my Datsun radios. Would of been rather costly for someone to fix this truck.....if they didn't have all the parts....as I.
