athoose
I decided to swap my dizzy from my 200sx to my 620. I am using the L pedestal. What plate do I use? I am not sure yet but it looks like I need more room for adjusting timing and the plate bolt is hitting the pedestal. What are my options? Thanks! Quote Link to comment

athoose
Thanks! Hopefully I can figure out a way to make more clearance without dropping the oil pump. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
can u flip the timming plate over and maybe get some more movement? use the napz mount as it cam with the dizzy. all else fails use a mini C clamp to holfd that fucker in time on there put motor on TDC and center the dizzy to #1 plug wire. with plate loose and no bolt in there. Then see what you need to do so you have full movment with a timming light when looking for the mark on the crank. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
distributor might need a ground wire but the bolts holding it down should be grounded. as for the coil it has a + and minus wire. as some coil are epoxy resisn so it dont matter. I assume the ground is thru the module or distributor body. Quote Link to comment
athoose
Yeah, it's running again! The pedestal mods worked. I did use Pacific Coast Datsuns write up about swapping to EI, it was very helpfull. The buzz the coil is making only happens when the negative ground cable is off. Hmmm? Carb rebuild was successful, but in retrospect I think I would have just bought a Weber, to much work. So, I need another dizzy. The current one I have needs to go back to the 200sx. Anyone got a dizzy they can part with? Can be a NapsZ or L with or without matchbox. Quote Link to comment
