If I had the money I would have bought it from you because I traded my tach for a core support for my 620 . I need the core support worse than I do the tach at this time , I am rebuilding after a wreck . Anyways way to go on the sale :D Link to comment

datzenmike Posted September 15, 2009 Report Share Posted September 15, 2009 Ted, I have factory parts lists and it shows the tach as an option no earlier than '76. It will definitely fit and the clock was an earlier option for that hole. Maybe it was swapped in?? Link to comment
datsunaholic Posted September 15, 2009 Report Share Posted September 15, 2009 Mike, the '76 was the first year that 620s were wired for a tach. However there were dealer add-on tachs from day one. The tachs themselves were differently wired- the '76-79 ones plugged into the existing clock/tach plug under the dash. The '73-75 tach was inductive, you had to remove the wire that went between the coil and points and wire the tach in series. Link to comment
