Thanks guys! I'm pretty stoked! I guy I grew up with has his own race-prep/tuning shop in Huntington Beach, CA. I took a vacation and brought my car with me. He specializes in Porsche GT2/GT3 stuff. That said, he does a lot of work on Mercedes, Ferrari and pretty much anything that the "stupid-rich" want to go faster. It's insane the kind of money that they have down in Orange county. Nines Posted March 6, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 6, 2011 Hey fellas, been down a while trying to save money for my girl here. Had a couple of questions I hoped someone could help with. The motor is an S15. Is the main reason NOT to use an S15 N/A ECU because it is OBDII? If so, how does that hurt me? The guy I got the engine from told me I should use a 'chipped S13' ECU because it would allow me to use the VVT, and an S13 is OBDI. I've had some trouble finding a chipped ecu for an non-turbo s13. I'm sure thats not a surprise. Any help is appreciated. Quote Link to comment
