'66 1300 P/U - Soon to be Crushed

Recommended Posts

I was at the local auto wreckers today,& saw

this pickup next to the crusher.I looked it over,&

noticed that someone had broken out the front &

back windows, cut the top & folded it back.

Upon closer inspection,I noticed the doors were

really clean, with only minor surface rust on the inside

bottom part. The dash still had bright Red original paint

on it.The bed's really nice,with no noticible rust.Original

taillights are there, but no bumperettes. The hood is straight,

the engine's still in it.Grille's gone.Front bumper's almost cherry,

with no dings or dents.

When I asked about it,I was told they were going to crush

it today or tommorrow, but after talking to him, said that they'd

wait until the end of the week.

I'd like to see this one saved (parts).I don't have any

financial interest in it.

I went back out & took some pictures.I can email

them to anyone who's interested - after I get them off

of the camera.

The tailgate's a little rusty at the bottom edge,&

they dented the right front fender while moving it in the yard.

The dash, instrument cluster, knobs, etc. are all in excellent

condition. There's also a radio delete plate, but it's broken in two.

P.S. denverratsun - I found a Simca factory pickup (like yours)

in Grants Pass,Oregon,in great shape.Owner wanted $150 for it.

Hey angliagt..great job hookin some brothahs up!

I truly hate seeing any solid, clean old car or truck get the squash!

This one isn't a Datto, but pretty darn close! Super straight body, zero rust, 100 percent complete...squished like a moth on a Peterbuilt's grill.
