datrod
O.K. It's been over a year since I've had a chance to work on my Z car. The motor went bad and I just quit driving it. And build my wagon. (Gettin lots of shit from my Z car buddies on that one) So the one you see here is going in soon. Just a 2.4 Block. But it has flat top pistons and all the stuff from a 280 block. Yea I know I should put some turbo or big H.P. But I got a deal on the motor and I just want it to run. This will give me the chance to finally clean up the engine bay. As you can see in the pic's the paint in there is really bad. Edited April 12, 2009 by datrod Quote Link to comment

Mr.Woof's72z
Yea I know I should put some turbo or big H.P. No complaints here, I have the original L24 in my 240, it has side draft Webers and a performance cam and gives me PLENTY of power. Car looks great by the way. Quote Link to comment
datrod
Well after 10 months I'm finally making some progress. Got the bay striped and ready for some shiney silver paint then the motor can go back in. I hope to have it done in a few weeks. I picked up my intake manifold and carb tops from the polisher today. It's gonna be real clean under the hood now. Quote Link to comment
datrod
This pic is from a couple weeks ago. But you can see it looks much better. I have the motor in and running now. Fired it up today. Purrs like a kitty cat. Now I'm going to do a rear disc brake set up. Then I can DRIVE it. Here is a shot of the motor with all the shiney parts on. Quote Link to comment
datrod
O.K. it runs like a dream. Took it for a spin today. First time in over two years. Man it feels good to drive a 240 again. Stock rear brakes. I've been wanting rear disc for a long time. Today was a good day. One last item to install and it's time for a good long drive in my Z. Quote Link to comment
