620 fuel "pumps"

Ok I tore a couple of my trucks down and when I removed the beds I realized there was a fuel pump rite by the fuel tank. Well I already have a fuel pump on the pas. side of the engine does it need two? one? or what ???

The one by the tank would be an electric pump. Is it wired up ? id hold on to it either way.

Trucks with A/C got the electric pump by the tank..

 

I you are getting rid of the electric on any of your trucks, i am interested. Actually more interested in the mounting bracket assembly.

Ah HA! That makes sense both trucks were A/C rigs. So do you put a plate where the pump in the engine comp. would be? Im learnin here so thanks for your patience:)

The compressor sits where the fuel pump would be. If you need a cover plate you could make one or find any Z20 or Z22 motor (not Z24) they have a nice stamped one. Like this:

Thanks DatzenMike great info. I had no idea ,so do you run to filters one on pas. inner fender and one under the bed?
