so I found this thingy on the back of the carb

Recommended Posts

and it wasn't touching this other thingy though it was close and looked like it should touch the other thingy. One of the thingies had an 8mm screw on it I that adjusted until it touched the other thingy. Then I got to looking at the other thingy and saw it had an adjustment slot that required a small thin flat tip screwstick.

I backed the 8mm screw off 1/2 what I had cranked it up and twisted the slotted thingy until it made contact with the screw again and voila!!! I no longer have a hesitation in my carb when the engine is warm.

I don't know what either of 'em are (I would call it a dashpot if it were on my '64 Ford) but I no longer have to feather my gas pedal when leaving a stop sign.
