Lincoln has as a stupid Edelbrock that just pisses me off.. I have quite a few Holleys but the one that works the best has no choke (ever) and the secondary linkage is gone ,,and for some reason matches absolutely none of the others.

Now there`s a kid with a 2door chevelle and a high compression motor and a full tunnel ram set-up, even an extra hood with hole in it already,,, and chooses to build anything else to drive to high school.... Seems my brainwashing has worked. :thumbup:

The engine on the test stand is ,, the one on the orange engine stand is that one you dropped the nut down the fuel pump hole on the rollaround cart.. there was another L18 with a big hole in it laying in that area also.. I cleaned up that area pretty hard on Monday when it rained to get that and the drill press out.. Now all the stuff that WAS there is in the middle of the floor.

I remember a 30s Dodge that was tricked out all gangster style as a kid ( racing slicks and such) and i am picturing that car as i type this.

I'm putting this here because FAT510 bought some SU carbs from my friend, but they had sat awhile, and instead of working the bugs out on his daily driver,, and i do mean daily cuz it`s his only car,, i set my engine test stand up for a Datsun. We also are getting ready to set up a .50 over L20b that i was thinking would have to run on premium for my brothers car in the near future . I have run chevys and Toyotas on it but every engine needs it`s own mounts.. Toyota 20r mounts Since i couldn`t find the hunk of matching channel iron so had to requisition a new piece off some racking i have out back.. Safety first :rofl: Drain and separate 4speed bell housing mark big channel so i can bolt bell housing to it Looks pretty tilted but it is 10 degrees The engine that will be the test sample,,,,, quick fact,,,,, this is the original engine out of Robopineappleheads 510 wagon.

25 years in King county ( seattle-ish area ) which is the strictest emissions ,, but nowhere near as strict as Cali because if your car is 25 years or older it just drops off the list ,, no underhood checks or any of that shenanigens... We have a 83 zxturbo registered in King county and thought we needed testing because it hadn`t been driven in awhile ,, we drove it over to the testing station and they told us it was one year to old and it doesn`t need testing,,,,,,,,,,,, that`s it.

I don`t know for a fact,, but the radiator is pretty good size, i would say about the same size or maybe even a tiny bit bigger than the stock 620 ones i have laying around.. That`s just a guess though.

That 78 510 wagon in Lynnwood PnP has an automatic and an L20b i believe ,,,, if it`s still there.

So when you said you were treating Goldfish to lunch , i didn`t realize you were going to walk around Walmart eating stuff off the shelves, then putting the empty packages back.

i used whatever i had laying around to switch from auto to manual, 620 parts included, the parts will fit ,, you might have to test fit and adjust a few times but the parts don`t know what they are off of. The clutch hardline on a 620 is about 2 feet longer and a helluva lot bendy-er than a 510 one but i ran it for awhile like that ( because it was all i had) but it was wrapped all up in the firewall and shit... About 5 or 6 years ago some pipe dreamers said they were going to build a NASCAR track in almost the same locaton but East.. But the county and pretty much everybody that could issue a permit pretty much laughed at them .. Mostly because these guy come in and have all these big plans but have no way to move even close to the amount of traffic these tracks need,, think 1 lane bottleneck or going 50 miles out of your way on a windy country road. The noise ,, the noise yes i said twice ,, in what is now a very quiet place. And the fact they will probably want the Kitsap county residents to pay 40% of cost ( before road improvements) ala big sports teams .. I call shenanigans. And like mentioned before ,, the promised Great white hope track in Shelton still isn`t done.

Looks great. I wish i had mine built out of steel like you did, i'm always worried about torch cutting and welding when i know i'm going in for the night.,, if i ever build another it will be.. (( pipe dream :crying: )) :thumbup:
