  1. thursday, in san francisco...
  2. OK, well the car still isn't running I have some time. I'm definitely going to get a braided stainless steel line once I can afford it. I just spent a chunk of my monies on stainless steel fuel and heater lines.
  3. Started installing some lines last night.
  4. Eh, I could just use nylon tubing until I can afford braided ss lines? I just finished up spending the rest of my cash.
  5. Wow, home depot is so huge, yet has such a tiny awful hardware section.

Nearest one is like 20 miles away... There is a good hardware store I know of, but it closes at 5:30 :S

  6. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/rvs/2455973185.html Datsun trailer, would be hilarious to see a Datsun pickup towing this around.
  7. Ahhh- well, flipped around it works fine. No oil filter clearance issues, do It should be OK. I ordered an auto meter mechanical oil pressure gauge, should be here friday. Thanks for the help, as always!
  8. Those are 510 motor mounts from rockauto... Ok, I already have mounts in the car for guages anyway. Thanks for the info.
  9. Found it, See the yellow wire that's coiled up in the wiring sleeve?(next to the blue tape on the left) Pretty sure that's it. (Yes, I know my engine mount is upside down in this pic. I fixed that already.) Thanks guys!
  10. No, but the p/o bought this engine as rebuilt. He gave it to me with the car separately so I know very little about it. I just know its a L20b from a truck. Ah I forgot to update that, haha! I just dropped the engine in. The end of the line is the tubing on the right side of that picture, FYI. OK, so I can just replace this with a proper oil pressure sender + guage and should be good?
  11. edit, solved thanks to everyone! Hey, this little thing is sticking out from the block next to the oil filter. What is it and where does it hook up to? Thanks...
  12. Went to junk yard, ripped this out of a Pontiac Fiero. $5 It has the rubber mounts for the top of the rad. after a bit of cutting/bending, I test fit it with the hood on, seems good since I'm going to be running pins anyway. I have an idea of what to do for the hoses, and bolting it in. I will post again when its all hooked up!
  13. loooool auto trans on family van crapped out when my bro is 400 miles away from home. I told him cool story, bro.

  14. Yeah, it looks really well done. I'm just personally not really fond of monster trucks/4x4 cars for street.
  15. Why? -Oh right, because they can. If they properly fit a 4wd system under the body, these could be good rally cars. :)
  16. Isnt there a write-up somewhere on how to mount a fiero rad? FYI, Hose needs trimming, but it fits fine.
  17. Hmm, got maor pics.(Wow, I just automatically typo'd that as Oics...) Is there any advantage to run this type of rad? I do want my car to run very cool, I want to do some racing. Its a really great fit. The hose bumps the alt, but it would work. What are these for? There are two of em. Advice? If theres no advantage to running this then I'm just gonna find a good rad for a 510. edit- after doing some more research, it looks like this is in fact a Fiero radiator?
  18. Good point.. I will check to see if it fits properly, since I have not treied it with the alternator in.
  19. Alright then, custom mount it is... haha. I have an idea on how to mount it. I searched the part number of this rad... Nothing came up. No idea what its for, I only know it fits in the 510 engine bay.
  20. Alright then, custom mount it is... haha. I have an idea on how to mount it.
  21. No, its not an original rad. The previous owner gave me this with the car. He also gave me the hoses for it.
  22. It looks aftermarket. Its new in box, sides are plastic. I can get a picture tonight.
  23. There is nothing on the radiator that can be secured by nuts and bolts...
  24. Hello, my car did not come with any mounting hardware or anything for the radiator, I only got a new one for an L engine and hoses. What type of mounting hardware should I use to secure it? Could I get a pic of someones rad mounts? Thanks.
  25. I just used a ZX speedo cable. seems to some extra length which makes it easy to tuck around the engine bay. Though I have not seen what a 4spd cable length is like.
