Eagle rock swapmeet is an amazing place to network and meet other Datsun guys. If your car is inside, it's even bette because you'll have random people walk up to you and say things like " hey ... I have a (amazing or rare part) for your car just sitting in my garage..! ".

This thread never died! I still have her and very soon we'll see her in her current state. The tonneau cover is an original Datsun OEM dealer installed cover that I purchased on CRaiglist awhile back. It may look nice but it attaches with these shitty rails and buttons thats a huge pain in the ass to remove and put on. If I had to do it again, I would go with velcro or button snaps. yeah, tight as a snare drum, but when it has to come off quickly I hate myself for it.

Okay boys and girls and rats alike, my gal and I decided on getting a commuter car and this is the one we came up with. This is a 1992 Toyota Corolla DX. Although this particular year was definitely not one of Toyota enthusiast's favorite for obvious reasons (Front wheel drive). It was a huge favorite internationally. As usual we didn't receive shit over here in the states except for the tired DX, LE and if you were lucky an All Trac version which would put you at four wheels. Overseas they had a Special Edition with rear spoiler and all kinds of cool shit. The vision was to recreate one of these as close as possible so for this pale-faced beauty we have changed: - " Wagon Face " grill and front lights- offered in some countries on the diesel wagon version only - Toyota Sprinter grill emblem - JDM front and rear bumper covers with matching trim all the way around - Tom's Toyota steering wheel - JDM folding mirrors - Rear window spoiler - JDM tail lights and rear fascia with chrome trim - Leather interior - JDM badging - BBS Wheels for that 1990's rice rocket flair At a glance most people think it's just another commuter, but the trained eye always goes to the details on this car. So far it's been a blast to drive, even though its sadly underpowered. It makes for a nice cruiser!
