For cereal tho, I don't blame ya. My dads got a massive selection of tools to play with. Mostly craftsman.

Real paint, not duplicolor, takes awhile to dry. It can be dry to the touch, but still quite soft. Best to let the car sit awhile. And wait a month til you wash it.

  3. The thread isn't THAT bad! Better then a lot of active ones right now  At least the car is functional :P
  4. I found a video of it doing a burnout Anyone interested? It's kind of crap quality tho.
  5. Hey Mike, what's the compression ratio of a stock L20B with a U67 head and stock dished pistons? I found rock auto is selling L20B piston/ring combo at a closeout price of $20 and i wanted to run lower compression pistons. Not too low though
  6. Really? Under rev in neutral and no load it won't produce max boost? I don't know F/I And that is very evident.
  7. WOW man! Yours I'm guessing? I stand corrected. I have more faith in Georgia Datsun's
  8. Nailed it It's running on wayyyyyyy too much boost. It'll probably end up destroyed pretty soon.
  9. Shuddup Indy  So I took the tire off today and found that the front driver outer wheel bearing was loose Not sure how that happened. It came out of nowhere
  10. Hitch, take it to Garage Zero in Winters Chapel. Talk to John. Those guys are some mad fab artists and would easily be able to tackle this. They tackle Datsun's, Toyota's, and other oldies with no problem. What shop is this? I wanna make sure they never get my business.
  11. Just under normal driving. Straight line, turns, under braking, acceleration, it's all wobbling. There is an occasional squeak in the steering when i turn all the way to the lock, but nothing when it's wobbling/vibrating. It's more noticeable at higher speeds. say, 35+. Anything under that you wouldn't hardly know. In corners it seems that it goes away or at least isn't as bad. Mostly a straight line problem. Got some energy suspension bushings, just need to put em on
  12. Meh, like I said, you never know until you see the numbers. Anything is possible That was him. I'm a skinny ass white boy. Be nice, he's a member on here
  13. I told you this place is whack. Hey it works! Not my choice in mani's, but hey everyones different. This guy even had a pretty neat turbo mani for an L-series laying around, but wasn't interested in selling it.
  14. I'll check that next Bearings look great. I re-lubed them last week. You don't really feel it in the brakes. I replaced the rotor both times it hit the ground, simply as precaution. Hell, it only cost $20
  15. A lot of it is the HP/weight factor Our Datsuns are so light that 150HP can feel like 200 if you know how to drive. the Mazda is never floored because it eats diffs, so I'm not sure what it will do. It's awaiting a diff swap and some under the hood work before it's anywhere near ready to run the track.
  16. Anyone got some money they wanna give me?

lol I was kidding Hitch. Funny you asked though! haha

  17. You edited on me It must be a Z22 8 plug then because it's notched
  18. I'll get back to you on that Don't have it on me It's an 8 plug head. :P
  19. Maybe our estimates are wrong, not saying it's an exact number, but I have physically seem the amount of ass kicking this thing is capable of. It's yet to be dyno'd so I wont say it's a verified monster yet, but it's a beast in the making for sure. I know the manifolds were one of the parts mentioned to me as something coming off in the near future, and some more legit, smaller twin turbos were to be mounted down under to hood to allow more clearance for the hood to fit. The engines rebuilt and would probably already fallen to pieces with that turbo if it wasn't done correctly
  20. I've noticed in the last few weeks, I've had an occasional wobble in the car. Steering, drivetrain, etc. it literally is felt throughout the car. At times, it's very scary. At other, it's just a minor annoyance. It almost feels like a death wobble. This is all prior to my tire falling off last week, so it's unrelated. In fact, it may have been a contributing factor in it. My first thought was that I had a tire out of balance, but when i took it to be checked, they lifted it up and instantly told me and showed me, that there was inwards and outwards (in terms of toe) movement in the front right tire. My first thought was that it needed an idler arm, so I went ahead and ordered one, replaced it. After replacing it, the odd movement was gone. for the last few days it seemed like the wobble was gone completely, other then a small vibration, that I figured must have been a tire out of balance. Just today on a drive I noticed it came back as it was before. After a quick inspection I found NOTHING out of the norm. Nothing odd, broken, etc. All the bushings, bearings, etc in the front end are fine, except the sway bar end links. I even went as far as greasing the steering components This is another one of those weird problems I can't track down. Point me in the right direction Ratsun!
  21. I agree it's cool as hell though, seeing people take what they have and make it work. I don't particularly like the craftsmanship, but it's %100 functional and makes some real crazy, diff snapping power! All on what appears to be a pretty low budget.
  22. That was another thought, but I really wanna do something special with it while it's out. I figure, I can do any bottom end work NOW and not have to play with it later when I want to put a bigger cam, big side drafts. I'll gain more power from those mods then if I just leave it as a stock bottom end. Maybe It's best for the moment? Well said I want something that on the weekends, I can take and play with but is still tolerable on the street. I want to keep a lower compression ratio since high compression doesn't seem like the best "streetable" option. Especially as prices of gas go higher and higher. My thought was use L20 pistons that have a deeper dish, and use a close chambered U67 head. Just a simple header and down draft Weber until i can afford to do a little more with it in the future. So I suppose that doing a big bore isn't quite a good idea with cylinder walls as thin as they would be then. I don't plan on revving high on a daily basis, so perhaps I'd be better off with the longer stroke/bigger bore then short rods. ALSO, while we're on subject, what head is this? I was told the valve cover is Z24, but it's a Z20 block. I know it's a NAPZ head but I'm trying to decide if it's Z20/22/24
  23. lol dude, trust me, you don't give that Mazda enough credit. Just because the manifolds are perfectly engineered doesn't mean it doesn't have the high power potential. You really think it has only 300HP? Hell maybe it doesn't have as much power as we think. It's yet to be dyno'd. You really have to see it in person to understand it, but it is capable of more then you give it credit for That turbo isn't an "ebay" it's legit Garrett. Look at the name cast into the side on the top picture. It produces 19PSI under light revs in neutral The other Z isn't anything more then a straight swap with nothing special. probably doesn't hardly produce 300HP. If that even.
