  1. are the pictures showing that the inner hose on the block goes to the outer hose on the remote mount ? That would be simply avoided by a correct filter or "shorter filter" that avoids a chance of doing a simple mistake.
  2. This has been done by DUNCAN on his wagon. I think he ended up making a tool to help with the leverage to twist the bars to bolt them down. He goes to the Moreno Valley meet pretty often. you might try to PM him. HE is a pretty cool guy that would probably help you out with your problem.
  3. First, check if it has free play on the clutch pedal with your finger, if there is no free play, it is already pushing against the clutch. Does it have a new clutch slave cylinder ? If the pin that pushes the lever is too long it cause it to keep the clutch released. Unbolt the slave cylinder and put it in gear and see if the driveshaft spins. If that was the problem, shorten the pin a little at a time until it fits with no tension. I used a bolt that was the same length to grind down then did the pin once i had the right length.
  4. The flat areas are easy, the problem is stuff that curves both directions. If it is your first time tinting, there is a kit that has 6 inch strips for the back window that you overlap 1/8 of an inch that makes it easy. Just watch a few videos on you tube and remember some of them are professionals so they make it look easy. The key thing is to make sure everything is CLEAN, cause once you put the tint on there, it will show you where it has some grit by having a bunch of micro bubbles. The asteroid belt look on the back window is from using the defroster which should have been disconnected. The bubbles on the side is a puzzle to me, it may be from trying to dry it faster by using a hair dryer. It is best to install it in a garage since when you pull the clear backing, it lets mother nature know it is time for a breeze. When you start to peel the backing, keep it sprayed good with water because it is a static magnet to pull dust to it. You probably will want to have some extra, since when you get done with the last window, you may want to do the first one over (the learning window). PATIENCE IS KEY, TAKE YOUR TIME good luck
  5. http://datsunzgarage.com/ this is the site to see a lot of info on the z stuff.
  6. The filter may be for a 1982 ford escort. There are oval shaped filters in carbed subarus from 70's to 80's also.
  7. E D I T not part #6 --- it was the clutch slave rod. As loatsu showed in post # 55
  8. I recently have had the same problem. The push pin (part #6) is about a half inch too long. What actually is happening is the pressure plate is partially depressed at rest, and when pushed, it is super depressed. It is a simple fix, the pin needs to be shortened. What I did for the one I worked on, I unbolted the slave cylinder, took the pin out of the way, used the length of the pin to find different bolts that were shorter than it, put the "test bolt" in the pins location to find out the right length. Then mark the pin the right length and cut it down. I cut mine down the ratsun way, put the pin in a drill used the full throttle lock on. put my foot on it keep the mini lathe from moving and cut it with a 4 inch grinder. I also rounded the end after it was cut.
  9. I am not one to post much but this thing is A W E S O M E ! ! ! It is full of badass work front to back and top to bottom.
  10. the info is here: http://311s.org/Pics/tech/RadioIpodWiring05.jpg it may be worth it to get the multi-connector clip to secure the wires off a junkyard car.
  11. danielc had a good comment, it works perfectly, and it looks like it needs a new valve cover gasket anyways. I just relearned something i forgot from this.
  12. Firing order: 1-5-3-6-2-4 Point gap" 0.45-0.55mm Dwell angle: 35-41 degrees Spark plug Standard: BP6ES - Gap: 0.8-0.9 Turn anti-clockwise. from-----http://patrol4x4.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=2469 find #1 firing spot by putting your thumb over the #1 plug hole (#1 plug removed, and cap removed), crank over the starter with real quick blips until it 'burps' your thumb away from the hole and turn the key off. Get a socket n ratchet and put the pulley at top dead center. Hook up the plug wires and it should run.
  13. Oooooops I didn't count, six is not eight. post id: 4276030694 on craigslist
