  1. Yea haha but I can't figure out if it's an original auto bc I had a original auto and the VIN plates are identical except for the numbers, I know this because I tore the auto out of my other 1200 crazy trying to figure this out, it's suppose to have an "A" somewhere but neither of my car do
  2. So I got this car, I'm sure a lot of you know it, or have seen it. I'm wondering if anyone knows if it was originally an automatic or 4-speed? Thanks! http://www.oddimotive.com/2013/06/sweet-green-datsun.html
  3. Two of my four 13x7.5 -5 SSR Formula meshies...muhahaa
  4. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/4594936265.html
  5. It's a pretty cool 1200...but if that's worth $6800.00 mine must be worth 10k. hahaha..jk
  6. ^ I wish I just had the body haha looks hella clean
  7. I had these on my 71' Sedan, my car was slammed and rubbed a little...but yea you'll be good to go.
  8. I'm not going to do a full build thread but just little stuff here and there. Parts of the swap, rims, and all the other little crap I'ma do over the next 3 months.
  9. Usually haha, it's about to go under the knife! :)
  10. Yup, that's me...muahahahahah...muah muahahahahaha! I knew it was a matter of time before someone spotted me lol.
  11. Why not just do a compression and leakdown test?
  12. Cam is a Street Performance cam I guess, that's what I was told/Street performance cam and ceramic header by Bills Datsun Shoppe Here's the pic of the engine set http://zcartrader.com/wp/?auto=1973-datsun-1200-gx
  13. For sure, also if you want to come hang out when were doing the SR20 swap you're welcome as well. :)
  14. Yea I def.. feel you, it's really a clean looking ride. I've def.. seen many cars with flares done perfectly. I'm going to cry if I went tooo crazy on my SSR's and have to sell them to a corolla guy lol. But like I said I still have my OG Wed Zero Speeds, and my 13x7 Watanabe's as back up. I'll post pics up when I get the fitment done! : :))
  15. Yea it's pretty sick...I've seen better looking 1200's though for sure. I'm just not a flares kind of guy, I like to make the stock fender area work. =)
  16. Right now I have a SR20DE non-turbo long block from an automatic SR. Now my question is will a SR20DET manual transmission mount up to it? I'm assuming it will, but sometimes you never know on these things.
  17. It will be out of my car in about 1 month. I'm trying to sell the whole engine set with exhaust, complete. It can be picked up in Oakland CA, that's where I'm doing my swap. :) Google: 1973 Green Datsun 1200 GX and you can see it pic of it.
  18. This is a dope project, glad to see it's back in the mix!
  19. Ayara in Orange County... I know that both of those cars are running x9's with a way crazier off set than -5. Just saying. I'm not doing flares. Teru-san’s wheels are Speed Star Mark-IIs in 13×9 sizing all around with 175/50R13 Nankang tires. They fit the car perfectly under his over-fenders in true “shakotan” style. http://www.stancenation.com/2014/03/24/shakotan-fever-terus-datsun-sunny-coupe/ 155/ or 165's I get tires from Japan :) hook-ups bro. hahaha
  20. Well I just had my SSR mesh rebarreled at 13x7.5 -5. To be honest I'm a little worried that I'll have too much poke but WTF, you only live once right? Plus I have back up Weds Zero Speeds at 13x7.0 +0's as back up if they're too crazy. I guess I'm just posting this to see what is the craziest wheels you've seen on a 1200? I know a lot of Japanese guys go with 13x8 +0's. I'm lucky enough to have a good connection in Japan and can source 13" rubber all day long. Post some crazy pics if you have them. Thanks!
