  1. BUMP - Please don't make me haul these tires/wheels to Oregon. BTW - I will have other parts for sale like a real nice front bumper with brackets, a early 620 grill in perfect shape (just painted turquois) and other stuff. $100 for the front bumper $75 for the grill Everything will be OBO...My restore is done so this shit has to go....
  2. Exactly...I run the 15x8 version which are much harder to find and I run 225/50/15's. The width, heigth and tuck looks killer. A 14x7 should be no problem - assuming you are running a 620?? It looks like you only polished the top edge of the spokes nd not the middle???? GLWS
  3. FYI - Here is the CL ad for local buyers: CL AD
  4. These are 235/60/14 Daytona Dayton SR's. They are 6 lug and fit Datsuns, Toyota's, and Mitsu/D50's as well as any other 6 lug application. The rims are American Racing chromies and are a 6 out of 10 meaning they show a bit of chrome peel around the center. Overall they shine up nice and the caps and lugs are included. The real deal out of this is the tires which have barely 400 miles on them. They still have the nubs. They are rated for small trucks/utility vehicles and are all season radials. They ride nice with no road noise and have good sidewall strength. Again, they are brand new and I really don't want to haul these to Canby unless there is a serious buyer who really wants a good set of tires. They are balanced and the rims are not curbed or bent - just old. $275 obo These are for sale locally on CL as well. Ping me if you're interested.
  5. I'll be taking the white one Friday afternoon. If the weather is bad then I'll roll the black one. I hear there is a group leaving the Seattle/Tacoma area but haven't seen times, meet locations etc. Anyone?
  6. Some of the guys that I know who are super passionate about finding every last one of these would cry if you told that story....seriously...tears! There is an event (12th year running) that gathers all SyTy owners from the United States. It's called Nationals and people come from all over the states for this 3 day event including Canada. There is a registry of all known remaining vehicles. The transfer case alone on these are highly sought after and could bring close to 1k. Cladding, wheels etc etc etc and the dude could have made enough money to buy something much better than a Chevy Aveo and he could have paid cash. It's a shame these trucks as well as Datsuns fall into the hands of idiots.
  7. Those are 18" Z06 Wheels wrapped in 275 40 18's. The 4 piston calipers are from a C5 and so are the 13" cross drilled/slotted rotors. GM gear bolts right on. The previous ownner did the work and this thing stops faster than it accelerates. The only bitch I have with the setup is the tracking. It really grabs the ruts in the road and it takes 2 hands on beat up highways.
  8. I have all of those articles. The previous owner had every magazine that had a write-up about these trucks. It was fun reading through that particular one. It is indeed a syclone a not a clone. Clones are easy to spot because of the way the VINS are generated.
  9. S10...that aint no stinkin S10....That's a SONOMA.....hahahah....the cladding and the wheels is the only thing keeping this thing from being butt ass ugly....
  10. Stock is 280HP and 380 TQ. They still hold the title for fastest production truck ever made. 0-60 in 4.6 with a turbo launch stock. They only built 3000 of these in 1991 and 33 in 1992. Then in late 1992 and all of 1993 the Typhoon hit the market which was the GMC Jimmy. Mine is #994 off the assembly line. Truck is stupid fast and AWD. and...a KA for the Datsun? I have a built 2.6 G54B going in next winter.....
  11. Most of you will get this right away. What is that black truck?
  12. Kid, I will guarantee you that the cost of me restoring my 620 plus the cost of the running gear is more than he makes in a year. Many of us here can attest to that as we have built our machines (I'm not bagging on teachers - just idiots who say idiotic things). Now...Addressing Mr. Prick or Peck or Dickless....whatever his name is, it is best to let him feel big for a moment then make him feel like a douche a couple days later. The best way to achieve this is by being smart. Like someone mentioned, beat him at his own game but do it with class. Here is my suggestion: There is a thread in the trucks section (I believe there is one for each category) that shows pictures of the best of of the best. Every day, print out on photograph paper a picture of a decked out 510, 620, 210, Z, etc in color. The nicest ones you can find. Slip one a day to this guy in his desk or better yet, sneak into the faculty lounge and slip it into his mailbox slot. Your mindframe must be plausible deniability. "It wasn't me, I wasn't there." "Do you have video or audio for proof?" Once he catches on, which he will, then put the picture in a different place like taped to his car window etc. This will irritate the fuck out of the guy. Again, you stand strong with plausible deniability. Do this for one week. Find out what he drives. It is more than likely a domestic or a cheap econobox. If it is a Prius it is a big win for you. BTW - keep this to yourself and don't tell a soul. The best scheming is done solo and in secret. Trust me on this. Lastly, get the t-shirt like everyone suggests and wrap it up like a birthday present. In the card, write in big bold letters... Ratsun "For those who appreciate classics." or PRIUS "For those who are too stupid to realize thier car does more damage to the environment than classic cars but you should know this, it is simple science." or PRIUS "Simply Gay!" or PRIUS "What a cheap peice of shit!" or PRIUS "I also drive sheep." or PRIUS "I'm clearly broke!" You get the idea. If it was me, I would take this opportunity to have a shitload of fun. Some of those quotes were just for a laugh. Keep it clean i.e. have some class! Cheers!
  13. I've got a clifford 3 way alarm, electric locks tied into the alarm, a hidden kill switch and a hidden switch for my fuel pump. Plus, solex locks on the outside. A thief, if he did get in, would have to figure out the kill switch dilemma and if he did that then find the fuel switch. If your a thief stealing a datsun you will get frustrated and run away after about 30 seconds. This isn't gone in 60 seconds guys. A real good car thief doesn't take a second look at Datto's.

    Hella E-Codes

I purchased a pair of european hella e code H4's and H1's for my project(not DOT approved). The H4's are a high low using a 55W Hella Xenon Premium Bulb. It is rated at 1895 lumens at 3300 kelvin. The high beam H1's are Xenon Premium bulbs. This set produces much more light than the ellipsoid projectors with PIAA Extreme Whites (rated at 4300K). The cutoff and dispersion of light to the road is so much clearer. I highly recommend these lights. It is a design that has been tried and true in the European market since the 70's. Susquehannah motorsports is the shop where I picked them up. They have all the information to help you make a solid choice and educate you on bulbs, housings, application etc. They are brand new, high quality, solid built headlights. You do not need to modify your buckets to get these to fit so installation is basic. I've tried so much bullshit, and these are by far the best. Anyone want to buy some ellipsoids? hehe
  16. 1. Bumper - Done today (hopefully) 2. Headlights 3. Wiring on marker lights/turn signals etc. 4. You got to get off your lazy arse and help me with the 3" blocks So....maybe holmes...MAYBE!
  17. Ha...That truck was sold off 6 months ago. I guess I should change my signature and my screen name for that matter. I might be ready to roll...
  18. Sounds like a good time but my truck probably won't be complete.
  19. I've got a couple of options. I have a set of E-Code CIBIE h4's, a set of Hella E-Code H4's and a set of BMW E39 Ellipsoids. I will probably install the ellipsoids to see how they look with a good quality 9006 IRE. If I don't like the look I will go with the CIBIE or Hellas...It is all for looks as I will rarely drive the truck at night.
  20. It's perfectly legal if you have colored bulbs which I have. My stock Lexus has clear tailights with colored bulbs and that is from the factory. Pointless to discuss further - that thread is dead.
  21. I had those special made. I sent a guy one of my originals and he made a mold/cast and poured these. They are exact matches but clear. They have UV protectant in the material so unlike cheap EBAY clears, they will not yellow. You can't get these anywhere. I had a thread started to see who wanted to go in with me but all I got was a bunch of useless opinions so I abondoned getting more made.
  22. I haven't been on for a long time and I clearly suck at keeping up a build thread. Here are some pictures I took last weekend while we had some sunny weather. I took these with my Blackberry believe it or not and there is some weird shadowing that looks like waves but this truck is laser straight. You really can't see the pearl all to well but it has 7 coats of clear and the rainbow pearl really pops in the sun. I have to finish wiring the marker lights and turn signals, install the headlights and bumper and de-arc the rear springs to match the front although I am kinda diggin the small rake it has. It is 90% complete and I had the chance to drive it. It runs, stops, and rides like a new car. I will get more pictures up and include the interior next time. Before: Gotta love those flames!! After Restoration:
  23. Thanks for the repsonses. A member came through and the clips shoul dbe here soon.
  24. Does anyone have a spare set of heater core clips (fastens the front face plate with vent handle to the the body of the heater core housing) laying around in good condition. I have parts to swap and or I can cover via paypal. I have scoured WESCO and thier autobody clips catalogs and can't find them. Thanks -- Paul
