  1. If you have replaced the master cylinder, bleed itt, have a person in the vehicle pump the pedal slowly a few times, and hold it firmly. while there holding the pedal crack the line loose at the master cylinder. do this a few times, or untill no air comes out anymore. NEXT remove all the drums, either both of them, or all 4. Make sure theres no leaking wheel clyinders. Then adjust them till they lightly scratch while spinning. Just barely!!!! Then, remove all the brake bleeder screws and clean them with a paper clip and some brake cleaner. Watch your eyes. re-install all the bleaders, But leave the rears loose. Fill the resivour, and let it drain down low 3 or 4 times. do not touch the pedal while doing this. Then close them, and open the fronts and do the same procedure. close fronts now. Now, go push pedal slowly to the floor 8-10 times. if still not hard enough for you, i think you can adjust the master cylinder rod in the vehicle at the pedal. this should get you verry good brakes, if not, you will either need help from another person, or go buy a mighty-vac. but try this way first.

  4. yea i made a wedge. just didnt jam it in far enough. got the cover off now,
  5. timing cover must be removed if tensioner falls apart? can tensioner be put back together? just had this happen tonight doing a cam. wood didnt holt tight enough and popped upwards :(
  6. will they fit on my carbs? the one im getting has an ari filter on it, and it bolts on? do these just slide in tight?

  9. probable be cheaper to get a used motor. guys are always practicaly giving them away here. sometimes 100 bux if its cheap, and in decent shape, get it on the road
  10. well here is the carb and manifold i have purchased tonight. got it from a guy here on the forum. hoping to recieve it by saturday. then install it this weekend, along with the cam if i can buy it by then. waiting for guy to give pay pal info on cam. then it wil be plenty of power for me i think. its just to damn boring even with the l20b. maybe this will wake it up a tad..... just paid for cam. :thumbup:

  12. well, im soon to be the proud owner of a single sidedraft dcoe 46 weber and cannon intake. and a brown racing cam and sitffer valve springs. and a brand new nos set of king pins! got a new battery for it yesterday, and aso going to replace the front sway bar bushings and links woth polly when i put the king pins in! :) then thinking about putting it in an auto cross event held here during the big car show :) for shits and giggles

  15. yea, it'll fuck up another one of my days real soon. i know its coming lol
  16. also wayno. the noise i was hearing was the hood came apart. the bracing thats spot welded to the hood was seperated in large spots. i wasnt sure if it was it, so i jammed some old air fresheners in it, and its all quiet now :)

  18. well i found out the whole charging problem today. it was a combo of a bad voltage reg, and that new battery already had a bad cell. took it for a long drive around the lake, then scrubbed it up. and yes radio, i am frusterated with it, i probably always wil be. so il just park it when im mad, and threaten to sell it or trade it off. but i wil never sel my truck again. unless its to upgrade to a better shape datto.
  19. well i havent driven it since last posting. went to drive it this weekend and it wasnt charging. swapped in a new alternator, and a new battery, since i knew the battery was junk, and when i pulled the alt off, there was a wire broken under that black plastic cover. so i figured it was fixed. wrong!!! got a bole away after jump starting it and i had to push the damn thing home. so pissed i havent touched it till today. found the ground wire off the alternator to have broken in the insulation. so i made the repair, and all is well. i just wish i knew why my truck hates me. :( i feel like its time for a change again. the last time i felt this way, wish i had never done it. and i dont want to feel that way again, but i'd really engoy something thats a little more "peppy" and not so noisy. once i get over 1500 rpm, everything rattles and vibrates so damn loud!!!! and i cant figure out what the fuck it is and its driving me nuts... and its also so rustu, it neede complete floor pans, and rocker pannels inner and outter. so basically everything from the bottom of the door down.
