Wayno,
One of the wires is green w/yellow stripe. I wanted to wire the socket correctly so that switching the plug wile will be consistent with the wire schematic.

The 520 uses a single 1157 bulb for both the front running light and the front turn signal.
The 1157 bulb is dual filament 25 watt and 8 watt.
Which wattage is used for running light?
Thanks,
Keith

XXL,
What door panel clip did you use? (I am looking for a source for a replacement to the metal button topped clip.)
Thanks,
Keith

I've been giving thought that we should recognize our older Datsuns with a "Datsun, ain't no metric tools for me" shirt. Many people cannot envision a Japanese vehicle that has SAE standards only fasteners.
What are your thoughts or designs?

Wayno,
That is the part I need. Do you know of any other interchange?

Wayno,
Any chance you have the old (removed) sockets in your stash?

Does anyone have a source for replacement bulb socket insulators
https://www.flickr.com/photos/53116286@N07/31922374251/in/datetaken-public/
Note, this socket is from a 1966 Datsun 520, which has the mounting tab offset from the terminals. (Compared to the 240Z which has the tab inline with the terminals.)
Thanks,
Keith

Steve,
Good eye on Items #18 & 19. I did not fully disassemble the fender inner panel from the core support, so I do not know where Item #21 mounts. The mystery continues.

Kit was about $30
Labor was about $150
-
Royze was the source of the kit, and the rebuild service.

Does anyone have a photo of Item 21 (64805-B0100) installed on their truck?

(I cannot figure out where it goes or the purpose it serves,)
Thanks,

Is there a hoop or stay design that has no permanent point attachment to the bed?

I have been considering fabricating a tonneau cover for my 520. My requirements are:
Vinyl foldable material, no hard, wood or fiberglass.
No permanent modification to the truck bed, therefore; no snaps or fasteners holes drilled.
No attached header rail (placed at the bed nearest the cab).
No support rails.
My thought is to use a bungee loop (http://www.sailrite.com/Shock-Cord-Cover-Clip-Black). This would allow the tonneau to be attached to the factory truck bed loops. I do not know if the header panel of the bed would provide sufficient tension of the fabric when the tonneau is connected to the three sides of the bed.
My inspiration for this project is:
Please post your thoughts or experiences on installing a noninvasive tonneau.
Thanks,
Keith

If you curb a powder coated wheel you have to sent it out to be refinished.
Consider:
