Also, the oil filter is the later model, not the cartridge style.

Quick use of a phone!
The rear bumper may have survived. Those step bumpers are indestructible.

I want to confirm that I have a original downpipe sizing, my 1966 520 (J13 engine) measures 1.75 inches in diameter. Can anyone confirm that the diameter on their 520 is also 1.75"
Thanks,
Keith

Good update, I am glad its the clutch not the transmission. That rebuild would be costly and time consuming to find gears and seals.

A point in coating the interior of the tank:
If the tank is not completely clean and free of impurities and rust, the coating will not affix to the metal and will detach. It will then be pulled into the fuel line, blocking the fuel filter. In some instances, the coating material will clog the fuel pump and/or carburetor.

I purchased from a Japanese seller the rear air cleaner bracket

One side of the bracket has both light blue and dark blue paint. Is it probable that as the engine went down the production line the bracket was installed and partially painted to match the dark blue engine block, which masking the lighter blue of the air cleaner?
It would be great if someone on the forum could check their bracket for a similar paint scheme.
Thanks,
Keith

Originals are chromed steel, aftermarket are aluminum. Both have advantages and disadvantages.

Always contact a Nissan dealer first, many parts are still available for the 240Z. Be wary of used electrical parts, oftentimes the only way to properly test them is to install them on a running vehicle.

Consider having Sherwin Williams color match the paint in their quart oil enamel gloss. Then use Preval (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Preval-9-oz-Complete-Spray-Gun-267/202533738) to apply.

Did you buy this kit?
If not, what carpet kit did you purchase?
