  1. Ugh, Fuckin CARB/EPA screwin around. I wish they would get on the REAL polluters!
  2. Beautiful car man, I dont know how I missed this thread... Dont get Rotas. Get real wheels, Rotas will cost the same or more, and still be Rotas, not Enkei. I actually like the stock wheels on these cars, so I am not in a rush to replace mine. For coilvers I heard you can call Eibach, but I am not sure. I was planning on trying 240sx stuff..... BTW, In case you havent figured this out, the 84 automatic is the most desirable one to have (One with NO sunroof would be the absolute most desirable in any version) The tranny tunnel on the 4 speed auto is wider than that on the manual and 3 speed auto versions. Meaning: you can put a bigger transmission in the car, easier, and from more engines.
  3. Are you serious?!?!?!?!? 813 and 560 NA?? That is some serious shit there bro. Honestly as crazy and wierd as it seems, a 6 rotor actually would work pretty well. The best balance was had by the 20b 3 rotor so basically stack two of them mammajammas together.
  4. Well I didnt say it was a Bluebird. Did I? But if you read the car, it says 910 on it. Nowhere on the vehicle will you find it labeled as an 810. If you want to be technical the car is a 910, it was never truly an 810. Ever. Otherwise they would be posted in the "810!" thread. If you are ordering parts for this car, You better not be ordering parts for an 810!!!. LOL.
  5. Well the 810/Maxima designation was In my opinon, just kind of a dumb name useage. I understand why they did it, because they didnt offer either "810" in any other country with the I-6 engine, thus for America they lengthen them slightly and dub them 810. But the "original 810" isnt sold anywhere else as an 810. But it is an actual 810 chassis, so the "original 810" is the true official 810. Now the 810/Maxima. This is misleading. The original 810 with the 810 chassis WAS sold somewhere in the absolute top trim designation as a MAXIMA. So when people say 810/Maxima, they are never refering to that ultra rare model, what they ARE refering to is what is technically a 910. When the 910 first came out it was badged as an "810", and a "Maxima" in North America. Two separate trim designations, one minimal, one fully loaded. Later in the years, actually 82' I think, the "810" was dropped from the badging entirely. But it still remained on booklets, owners, and service manuals. However, that car was actually a 910, not an 810. It was definitely a Maxima as well regardless of year and what it says on the back. To me a "Maxima" means the I-6 engine. To add the I-6 L series engine to both chassis ("original 810" and 910) they had to lengthen them by 3.9 inches. Thus making them different from the other 810 or 910, and unique to America alone. If you read the service manual for a 81-84 Maxima, it says "910 series" on the inside, same with the owners manual. If you order parts, they are all 910 parts, If you look at the serial numbers on the car, Not the VIN, the Serials, they all say HL910 So in essence, in the US, it is an "810/Maxima" but it is a 910. Unlike some other things that Nissan has decided to change for the American market (which werent so great), The Maxima line was actually pretty badass. We got something nobody else got, an I-6 910!! Take a look at Shawk910's 910, He converted it to a Maxima. its sweet!. I will admit I do like the look of the headlights on the short nose 910s though.
  6. I hate VW, But that is freakin cool.
  7. ^ that thing sounds goddamn insane!!! Beryllium valves?, Because Bimmershnitzel!!! Are they better than the Superformance GT40? I love me some GT40 replica. Its one replica I can really get behind since the originals were built so similar to the replicas.
  8. I agree, as an actual daily type car, the 355 would be my choice, I just think of Gone in 60 Seconds. But the maintenance is shit on Ferrari, every 3500 miles I believe you are doing a maintenance of some sort. But for an F40, it would be worth it. I only need to drive it that many per year, its not like its a road trip car. Not like a Porsche 964  alas...... someday....... Now if we are talking about TRUE reliability and HOME MAINTAINABILITY, The DeTomaso Pantera is where its at. or a GT40 They say that "Of the 105 original GT40s built, all 250 survive today"
  9. I think its a Damn stupid as hell name too. And I am part Italian. They should have just stuck with anniversary naming as the publicized one, and used dumbassed names like "la Ferrari" to the drawing board. What was wrong with F40 (trick question, nothing will ever be wrong with the F40 B) ), F50? I mean Enzo was a good name, that made sense. I would have called it the "Ferrari F60 Enzo" though. F70 sounds good enough. Why do they have to call it something dumb like "La Ferrari"? The only REAL car out of those was the F40, the evil nasty, twin turbo, snarling, fire breathing, greatest-Ferrari-ever-made, F40. If I ever fell into the money, its the only Ferrari that would cross my mind to buy.
  10. OH THE SICKNESS, SO MUCH WIN ON THIS PAGE!!!!!!!!!!!. Its because of the KERS system in F1 racing. Essentially all F1 cars are now hybrids too. Electric assist technically, Thats what it is in the 918, the McLaren P1, and the Ferarri WTFever they call it.
  11. GTAV is fucking epic

I will be looking for one once I actually buy it. I rented it for a day.

  12. This is an awesome thread, Radio!!. I used to get a Mar-Hyde product called Tal-Strip, Apparently 3M bought them and it has now been discontinued. Do you know an alternative that is similar quality? The stuff worked amazing!.
  13. Find out if it will be a salvage title or not. IDK how much that matters with Datsuns, or if that will even apply to you in TX. Finding a new body would seem your best option though at this point. If this were a 510, everyone on here would be like "noooooo, Fix it!, noooo, I want it!!" But because its a 910 Maxima, everyone is like "meh". Sucks because in a few more years these cars might be pretty sought after as well. Only time will tell though. I think theres a lot less 910/Maxima than there are 510 though.
  14. We sprayed on the rest of the black last night. I might need to do a few touch ups still.
  15. No you are not alone, I am not a fan of the way the 914 looks, and I am a HUGE Porsche fan. But they are awesome cars none the less. Its one example of an ugly car being cool Now the 930 on the other hand......That is pure sex, one of, if not my absolute favorite 911.
  16. Sun roofs, Or moon roofs, EITHER ONE!!, are the worst thing that god has ever put upon this earth for a person who restores cars.

  17. My buddy Jeremy laying down the Primer. We got the black paint on top of it last night, but I dont have any pics so I will get some up tonight.
  18. So I settled on Rustoleum and I am pretty damn happy. I did the POR prep and ready then followed with self etching primer. I wanted to get a picture of this before it got covered. Some Japanese Brazer on the assembly line probably just did this all day. He would have had to cut this copper pipe at the right angle, and then braze it in so it did not leak, and make sure that it is at the lowest point it can be in. He would have had to do 4 on each sunroof tub, one on each corner. I just thought that was something cool worth mentioning. This is very old school and is not done on ANYTHING anymore. The drain from the outside of the tub.
  19. Well, its not a huge deal, Type 200 is the same thing (although its SUPPOSED to be used hand in hand with SB) But the level of stupidity that banning blue brake fluid reaches. Makes me pretty annoyed. because banning blue fluids is what we need to be concentrating on in the US right now..............
  20. Its not just the racing, Their performance doesnt meet the price tag. They are also genuinely crappy cars. plasticky, junky cars. I only care about racing pedigree if am spending over 175k on a car (which I probably never will anyway so who cares right?, lol). I mean the Gallardo, Aventador, and Murcialago, look fuckin cool, dont get me wrong, but thats where the awesome ends for those cars. I guess thats just me though, I mean your 510, has more racing pedigree than any Lambo ever made though. So does my Honda, and my 910. I just feel if I am spending that kind of change on a car, the company I am buying it from have to have proven themselves in competitive racing. OK theres a few companies that make awesome cars that dont race, like SSC. But they also dont pump out cars like they're Honda Civics as Lambo does. They make 100 a year if that.
  21. Definitely looks like Lamborghini designed it. Uglier than the Veneo, didnt even think that was possible. Fuck Lamborghini, $300k wannabe with no real racing, or street cred. Never won, or even entered a damn race in their history as a company (their history as a tractor company?) Buy a Ferarri, or a Porsche, or shit the new Mclaren MP4-12C, that thing is sex.
  22. Try driving your cars harder. But please feel obliged also to take your car on the track with supertech fluid in it :sneaky: , I guarantee it will work AWESOME!! And dont bother with DOT4, that is just a needless waste, just use good ol DOT 3, problem solved. Ugh, people...... Did you ever think that maybe for the price it is a better fluid?, I dont run cheap garbage oil? why would I run Supertech brake fluid? Especially when a can of supertech costs $4 for 355ml, and Super blue is 1000ml for 14.99, which makes them nearly the same price. Oh, wait ATE is $3 more, wooooooooo. Again, for the same price as Supertech, why wouldnt I run an actual good product?, a product that Porsche has chosen to use at the factory for some cars.? I will stay with my ATE. Do you even use your brakes hard enough in traffic to need DOT4? Fuck no, almost nobody does. But why put shit in when you sould use REAL fluids? I used to use MOTUL, before I switched to blue, look the price up on the CHEAPEST MOTUL. Exactly, Type 200 is almost the exact same fluid. As I said I use both. I alternate so it is easy to tell when all the fluid is bled from the color change. It honestly seems that they "interpreted" the law. It doesnt seem like anyone actually twisted their arm to do it. Seems like they are covering their ass so nobody accidentally uses the fluid wrong and sues them. As I said, Honda Type II coolant is blue, Honda would have to stop selling that by the same logic. I will still use Type 200, so really the only effect I will see is that I wont have the easily visible color change when I bleed every year. Not a huge deal honestly, but banning something specifically because of the color makes me pretty angry and annoyed. I mean its just ANOTHER dumb thing we have to put up with because of our dumb ass government. I keep forgetting that we are all sheeple to them. Sorry if I am annoyed, I just thought this was a like, a forum where people could, like, ya know, vent their frustrations with a product that has to do with our hobby. I feel like Randy Marsh "isnt this America? I thought we were in America? this isnt America?"
  23. Yeah Honda Type II is blue, so Continentals reasoning on this is absolutely BULLSHIT. Also you got that a little backwards Mike, they dye grain alcohol blue, then ship it over as coolant, or washer fluid, then remove the blue and sell it as vodka. There was an NBC thing a few years back about it I think.
  24. Its not just the color, its the performance per dollar, Its damn hard to find an equally well performing fluid for $15 a liter. I am very angry about this, because the reason they outlawed it is cause its fuckin blue. Dying brake fluid will hurt the structure, frankly I dont care about the color so much, except that it makes it easier to bleed, I usually use Super blue, then type 200, then super blue, and that way when the color changes I know all the old stuff is gone. There is no reason for this shit to be illegal. Continental (who supplies it) tried to buy back every can on the shelves in the US.
