You are correct. It's an '80. You can tell by the D emblem on the grille. That dash assembly looks like there's no major cracks. Somebody would want that. Glove box and all.

WELL THAT BLOWS! Trip was good. Ended too soon. Can't wait til the bf is finished with work up there. Since no one showed up how about we try it again for June? Same run. And I'll be there this time. Hopefully the people that wanted to go will have their Datsuns up and running again by then.

I wish I could make this one but I'll be in New Orleans with the boyfriend. I was actually looking forward to this run. Nearly forgot I was going to be out of town. Hopefully we'll have an equally fun path as this one for next month.

Nice LA510! I'm glad you're getting it fixed. Look forward to seeing it on a run. Since it's mostly been chirping crickets up in here I think if you all are interested in the run next Sunday we should go on and do hang_510's route but meet up at the Super Car Sunday instead of Santa Monica Pier for this one. I actually can't make the run this time :( So someone else will have to head this up. For those interested you all should probably meet up by 9:30 (you can get there earlier if you want of course) and maybe roll out at 10 when the show is over and start the run. How does that sound to you all? You all in? And I want to see pictures!!!! One of the guys told me at the last Eagle Rock that it would be a couple miles from the current location. That's the last I heard of it. They're generally March and November but I believe they've also been in July. Maybe in the next couple of months? Someone will post. Kind of anxious to see if they get a larger spot.

Take a taxi in San Francisco. The drivers are nucking futs the way they speed up and down those hills. They don't mess around. I remember going as a kid once with my parents and some people were j walking. My dad told the guy to watch for those people. Dude said it was ok to hit them if they're not in the crosswalk. We laughed. I still think he was serious tho.

Some people are coming from pretty far away so I don't think they're going to want to get there at 7. Our last run we met up at 8:30 and started out at 9. If you all wanted to stay the full time then we could plan on heading out at 10.

Yo Seeker! One of the kids at my mechanic's shop did it. He's not there anymore. So far I haven't paid anything for the work I had done there. The head gasket, shocks, brakes, install and wiring of the clock I had fixed, etc. Probably because I also build and maintain two of his web sites :) I had found a write up online once on how to do it. I'll see if I can find it for ya.

Old Toyota in front of me the other day on Highland in Hollywood. Taillights were very reminiscent to the square eye 210s only they were shorter in height. Didn't catch the model of it. Thing was putting out some fumes. Saw this on the 170 today.

I'm pretty sure my original radio was an AM. I chucked that years ago. Always had a different radio in there until my resto and then I scored a NOS AM/FM on ebay. Got it iPod ready. Stanley is rockin'!

There's a 1981 hatchback 210 in Sun Valley. In pretty good shape except the driver's side front where it was hit. Otherwise it was a great looking car. Everything seemed to be there. It's an automatic. Must've been garaged for a majority of its life as the dash assembly was in great shape. I took everything. Dash pad, steering wheel cover, stereo cluster, glovebox, e-brake cover, window latches, undertrim and instrument panel. It had a center console but I was done taking things out of there and it was getting hot. Might go back tomorrow. I didn't get pics either. I completely spaced it. Was so dazzled by the condition of the dash. If I go back I'll get pics.
