I may be in japan around that time and could meet up with you. I usually like going to see refresh60 in yokohama. bit of a trek by train but worth it. so much 510 stuff. your head will spin. as for events not sure off the top of my head but will look into this. Jun is right if you like wheels you can get them there but I never have been out as everytime I go I take the train and it is not easy for me but if you have a driver or someone that can take you it will help. Golchi1 lives in japan but depends if he is around to meet up. good guy and has a bad ass bluebird. got the privilege to meet up with him on one of my trips. if you need any other info like food and stuff let me know and I will try to help if possible
Jun if you read this we gotta meet up one day and also go to Japan to scour for more wheels

Pretty tight ass pics and so many clean rides. thanks for sharing. wish I was there with my wagon. Jun your tires are glistening and the wheels are super chubs and the yellow wagon I believed owned by the promoters of katy's nest or the Japanese nostalgic car show is super clean. love the longchamps. Thanks Hang510 for sharing pics and tnanks for telling people that I sell tokico shocks got a couple of inquiries lately.

Fixed my fusible link and cleaned up wires and loom and cleaned off greasy nuts and bolts as well as replaced my oil pressure switch. started her up and car runs good

not sure if I am calling it correctly but mine is a ring terminal on the starter that goes to a plug connnector. the wire broke off the ring connector so the car would not start but I fixed it for now and it starts but the wire is so old and frail that it may not last. I think someone local to me has one but have to look at what connector I have on the end. I will check the dealer also since ggzilla says it may be still available
thanks for all the help

Hi
anyone have a good source for new ones for a 510 or if they can be made? mine is not the prettiest and could use a new one as the factory wires are sketchy.
-
took the car out for a test drive and it is better running. smoother and no more popping which tells me that pertronix coil may have not been burning off the fuel. don't know how valid this is but it is notioable.
just my luck I swapped out my oil pressure light switch but while doing it the wire for the fuaible link broke. fixed it for now but need to get a new one as the old wire is sketchy.

Thanks for the offer, but the parts I want probably wouldn't fit into your bag... New trans... A bumper... Haha. If you do make it out here, let me know. We can go grab a plate lunch or something.
haha ok got it but when I come I will message you ahead just in case but for sure plate lunch always is good

2nd that. wanted to come down for this. would be nice. would love to see pics

To be honest from reading your post I would get a rate that is not too stiff or maybe just a tad stiffer than what ground control offers. what you should consider even though costly is buying ers springs to swap out for different conditions of driving. there is no set rate that will always work for all around. takes a bit of time and experience to find out what you like. I went through this on many cars. I used to have a lot of springs lying around to try out or set up a car. just remember too stiff can also hurt you also

Drove it and the oil light came on. took it home and while at it put back in the stock/bosch blue coil and ballast over my pertronix coil and car started up fine and oil light went away for now. bought a new oil pressure switch in case and may change out. Will test drive tomorrow.
Thanks Hainz for the wire diagram and help me put back the coil and ballast

Thanks Hainz for helping me with a diagram.
-
Hey Hainz
I followed the diagram you posted on here and the realm and added it to my favorites and yes it all worked out. took me a couple of minutes to loosely connect everything and the car started up fine. after it started I cleaned up the wiring and electric taped up some stuff and loomed it to clean it up and made sure the connections were solid. car started up again but will take it for a test drive tomorrow night since it is too late now
Don't know if it is psychological but it did start a bit better than normal or over the pertronix coil and seems to be smoother or revs even cold smoother.
Thanks so much for helping me out.

Hi Hainz
yeah i have your diagrams but at first I was not fully sure of the blk/blue and blk/green wires but after looking at my car it looks like they do splice under the factory tape and also was not sure that the red from the dist can go to the blk/white side. since my wires are all stock and so are connectors. For now just going to use the spade connectors to get it running. I will go home and put the wires like you said and let you know
I wanted to go back to stock as for some reason and it may be me psychologically I felt the car ran better with the stock coil over the pertronix coil. not sure if it was conicidence but after the coil swap and a bit after the car started to pop out the exhaust more. I wanted to go back to stock to see but I guess also I need to work on my car more to get to know it better also
thanks for helping Hainz

ok I have the following wires
black/white
black/blue
black/green
red wire coming from dist
black wire coming from dist.
I know the black coming from dist goes to neg side of coil and black/white goes to one side of ballast resistor but not fully sure of red and black/blue and black green? Hainz had a diagram that noted the red from dist is on the same side of ballast as the black/white and the black blue looks to go onto the other side of ballast and shows the black/green on positive side of coil but he notes to splice the black blue to also be on the positive side of coil.
can anyone help assist?
thanks

Hi
I want to swap out my pertronix coil and put back my bosch or stock coil and ballast but forgot how the wiring went back to stock as it has been a while. can someone post what color wires go where. someone did give me a diagram but wanted to have something with wire colors to verify or double check
thanks

Can't wait to see the turn out on this car. Kyushakkai if you need parts I can maybe bring some repair parts over if needed as I may be coming to hawaii soon

After messing with the engine and transmission for so long on this (see my other thread on the noise the engine is making) I felt like I needed to make something. I had been running the car without air horns and I knew that this was holding me back a bit in terms of total performance. My dad had some extra flared tubing from the horns on his roadster so I used that to make a set of my own. I'm very pleased with how they turned out, and they definitely add to the great intake sound that you get with side drafts. Disregard the messy wiring...that should get cleaned up soon.
Now if I could only figure out the rattle in the engine and find a good transmission I would be set.
sweet job on the air horns

They can fit 2dr and 4dr and wagons. you can cut them to fit. I used these on my wagon and they worked great
