  1. Lol any info that keeps me from dying is fine by me, this is my first bag install as well and i to am very ignorant on the subject
  2. I was talking about putting the bag up in the tower bolted to my camber plate and mounted to my the strut. not just letting it flop around? But i freind of my mine just installed shockwave stuff in his audi, the front ends are pretty similar and it worked out fine for him.... I think it all depends on how much effort your willing to put into it to make it work
  3. I need to get rid of the cans, not to mention they ride like shit... Without spending tons and tons of cash, how can i somewhat easily bag the front? i cant think of anyway that would give me a shock? is a shock necessary? Edit: what would happen if i just ran a bag in the front?
  4. Right now im on 185/70s up front and 205/60s in the back, on 14 inch wheels
  5. Alright so, my theory is if im not lower then the lowest static 510 when im all aired out, im not low enough. what do you guys think? I should be able to get about another inch out of the rear and i can take up to two inches out of my front spacer. i also want a smaller sidewall tire. like a 175/45 would be great if i can find it. Oh but i cant go lower in front until i have new tires.... or pull my fenders and run a spacer.. Thoughts?
  6. And plan B on the front end after rubbing the hell out of my tire.
  7. So i ran into a couple....4... big problems. Ill be addressing them today, stay tuned, front should be 2 inches lower when im done.
  8. If anyone has or knows some one who has a compressor for a reasonable price please let me know!!!
  9. Made a significant amount of progress today, Front struts are done, new brakes installed. just need to bleed Rear bags are in new shocks are in brakes replaced All air lines are ran, but still need to be tucked. Im curently sitting on air, chasing down a few leaks, and running wires. the trunk is still a disaster and needs lots of work. i think the pressure switch is bad, and two of my valves decided to start leaking.... I still need to run lines into the cab for the gauge, and build a dash panel for it all. Theres only one problem.... IT DOESNT GO LOW ENOUGH.... im going to address that tomorrow. i know for a fact i can get another inch or two our of the rear, and an easy 4 inches up front Ill have some more pics tomorrow.
  10. Im trying to get it all to work before i worry about getting it all mounted cleanly, as im running the hoses im chaif protecting it all and tieing it up out of the way. The canisters SHOULD fit, i havent tried yet, but there smaller then a stock spring. Any suggestions on how and where to mount things to make it more efficient please feel free to leave your input. Like i said, first bag install, and right now im just trying to get all the valves, compressor, and pressure switch to work correctly. The seller didnt include ANY wiring, the valves are self explanetory, but im still have problems with the relay/compressor/pressure switch...
  11. Jrock, hopefully you can help me, so the pressure switch has a red, purple and blue wire, then theres a generic relay. How i have it hooked up now, a ground goes to one prong on the relay, opposing that is the purple wire from the switch. adjacent that, main power and opposite that pump power. the red on the pressure switch is hooked up to power, and blue ground. For whatever reason i cant get the pressure switch and relay to work right. Also do you by any chance have any compressors laying around? i feel like i got screwed over, i think this one is bad....
  12. Im working on installing an airride setup right now, ill let you know how it goes.
  13. Then its decided, simple on the switches and gauges! haha and i double checked the hose its all 3/8s. If you know anyone who might put the old ones to good use let me know, i dont really have much use for them anymore, and dont really feel like rebuilding them since i want bags eventually anyway. Yeah, as i said before the bags were definately an impulse buy and i hope i dont regret it! ill be sure to post a bunch of pics as i go along, itd be sweet to see someone else bag one as well
  14. Sweet ill definately get ahold of you if i run into any problems! The canisters on the spindles now are shot and the other two are new ones that the seller purchased but never used. Right now the controls consist of two toggle switches and a psi gauge, nothing fancy but i can take a picture if you want. I believe everything right now is all quarter inch, is it worth going up to half? I agree that going down slow and up fast is the way to go, so ill probally be looking for more info on the reducers and stuff. I wont lie, ive never installed an air ride setup and dont know much about them, except i love the idea of driving a slamable car thats not slammed for DD
  15. Thats some good info, ive heard of the air transfer and right now thats one of my biggest concerns, i never thought about the fancy electronics being junk, if thats the case ill probally just end up with a nice gauge and a couple switches instead. But the stuff showed up today so let the fun begin! Oh and for the record, never use shredded paper as packing.... its worse then packing peanuts... and i have a big mess to clean up!
  16. I freind of mine is probally going to tag along in his 240z
  17. Wow, has anyone told you that that is awesome!
  18. OHHHHHH, just as awesome as twin turbos lol id love to see someone do it on an old l series motor!
  19. Twin charger as in twin turbos? It would be sweet! thats for sure, tho the turbos would be quite small, and im not sure youd gain much from twins on such a small motor vs a bigger single turbo, except that a twin turbo anything is awesome
