Okay I have an update. I have been busy researching speed trap laws, talking to lawyers, and studying the cvc codes. This morning was my court date. I went there knowing that the officer has not yet turned in the ticket. I get there hoping for the best only to realize that cops have up to a year to still pursue you with a ticket. As of now I am just waiting and deciding weather to fight it or try to get in knocked down. Thanks for your help fellas. I will add to this when I have any thing new. Thanks for the replies guys. First me engine is fine it is my carb that is not right. I believe I need bigger idle jets. It starts to get pissed at part throttle and likes to be opened up every once and a while. I am definitely going to court, but I am not sure what chance I have. When he told me I was doing 80 I thought he was crazy, but I did not want to argue. I was in third gear I have a 77-79 280z trans and a stock 4.37 rear. Not only that but there was traffic and a car in front of me, so I know I was speeding by maybe 10 over, but do I admit to that or just stick to the I was not going that fast? About two weeks ago I was driving my 620 around. It was loading up, so I decided to clear it. I hit around 4500 in 3rd and I saw a cop sitting behind a corner 4 lanes away. I knew he would get me so I pulled over and denied nothing. He stated I was doing 80-85 which I knew was off and would have been impossible since there was a suv ahead in my lane and I had plenty of time to stop. He also made me pop the hood and asked if I had and mods to which I replied intake and exhaust. He told me I should count my blessings that he does not send to to the b.a.r. I really did not say much or deny any thing. He wrote me a ticket for vc 22349a which is the lowest speeding ticket you can get it is 5-20 over, but he did not fill out my speed. I just received a letter of correction to my ticket today in the mail that says 92 mph radar. Wtf 92 in third I wish my Lz22 could rev to 7400 rpm(as calculated by gears ratio sites), so I am now pissed that it went from 80 to 92 with traffic on both sides of the road(4 lanes) while I am coming upon a vehicle in front of me. I know I was speeding I never denied that, but be real that speed is bs and I was never going that fast. I wish I knew what I could do, but I believe I am screwed.

Or you could go to the yard and pull a bracket form a 720 and use its alternator. I am and noticed better overall power stability. Then again I am running an electric fan. There is also a way to run a gm 1 wire and they can put out 109amp if you would like to run some big sound.

I have side exit. I kept it close to the front so it would not pinch in the leaf. I am running 2.5 inch pipe and 4 inch blocks.

Thanks for the replies guys. No I already have a passenger knee buster guage set. I got the main console finished today, but it came out kinda crappy. The milliput putty is not user friendly. It ate through just about every sanding product I own until I gave in and painted it. I still have to modify the upper boot and mount the console rails. I have photos that I will post tomorrow after work.

I have a thread in the truck forum, but decided to make one under projects for easier reference. I will sum up what I have and skip details unless asked. I have a fully built LZ22 with a exedy stage 1 clutch and a 280z trans(used to be t-5). I have air bags in the back to help with loads and keep my truck low when needed. The wheels I have are american racing pythons and they are 16x8 wrapped in pirelli p6's. It is primer black for now, but will soon be flat black. The current thing at hand is making a 82 datsun console fit my 620. I am making a custom hole for the shifter, so that buying a shift boot will be easier. I am also painting it black. This first picture is from when I was on nwde. Here she is now. Here are all my console pictures. The first is the donor console. piece I cut New console trimmed Fitting trimmed piece Epoxied Piece Puttied piece ready for sanding Items used for console. First is the epoxy. Next is the putty I bought at a hobby shop. Lastly is the paint I am using along with the adhesion promoter. I will finish this in the morning giving every thing time to dry. I will also post some engine pics as well.

I have a recent one that I will probably get in trouble for posting her without makeup, but oh well. My girl and I have been together for 7 years now and she puts up with all my shit, which can be a lot some times, and then some. She is Japanese if you are wondering. Ohh boy where do I start? Ok first off this is a site for datuns which are imports, so we should all be respecting each other. I have a 03 si with a k motor and it has a lot of neat features. The most notable is the vtc controller that allows my cam timing to be adjusted on the fly giving me torque and power when I need it. I just ask please do not bash a brand because of a few idiots/ ricers that we hate just as much as you do. I have personally seen an all motor k20a2 swapped gutted eg civic running 10's all day. I think he had cams and ITB's and slicks and a cage(you have to have one at 10's). I could post a crap load of videos all day long showing very fast hondas, but I will save you the trouble. I think you have to drive a honda to know what it is like. I love my honda it is fun to drive and I enjoy it every time I am in it.

I hit 100 almost every time I drive my 620. My speedo is off by 20 mph with the t-5, but I was able to wrap the speedo to the m in mph on the bottom. I was at 5200 rpm in 5th I figure maybe 125-130, but I am not really sure. I just know it was way faster than it was ever designed which made me chuckle knowing I created a decent little monster.

I got a center console out of a 720 for my 620. However, it is not quite how I need it, so I need a material that I can apply and have it act like the original plastic i.e. drill into it and paint it. I have read some where on the inter web net before but cannot remember for the life of me. I basically want to fill in the shifter boot hole and make my own opening for a commonly used readily available boot. Then I am going to prep and paint the whole assembly. I have experience with painting plastic I just need an idea on what to fill with.

I was excited when I heard they were releasing a skyline in America. I am just not a fan of this car. I was at first, but the r34 is still imo a better car. All you have to do with this new r35 is flip a couple switches and mash your foot on the gas wow difficult. I think the paddled tranny's in cars these days are cool, but I still prefer manuals. I have driven a cls63 with a paddled tranny and it would have been much more fun to drive it standard. On a side note the last time I was at a nissan dealer in my primered 620 I asked a sales guy if I could test drive one. He chuckled and said "I better have the paper work in hand" to which I replied no thanks prefer the r34. Like I could afford either, but then again only true ballers roll around in primer cars lmao.

I have a header into 2 inch to clear the torsion arms then it goes to 2.5. I wish I could run a full 2.5, but there is just no room. I am running a 40 series 2 chamber flowmaster and a turn out in front of my rear driver tire. I hate any fiberglass packed muffler they eventually blow out and sound like ass. I say, like others, run a chambered muffler. There are quite a few choices and each have different sounds. I have heard the hooker aero chamber on a v8 and it sounds nice. Most other companies actually post audio files on their web sites, so you can hear before you buy.

Like why the c clip keeps popping off and I need shifter bushings bad. I am going to look for brass ones tomorrow I will post up if I find any thing. I also need a console. LOL then we will find out shortly. With my old cam my engine builder said it should be close to 200 ftlbs that was a 280/480 now its 310/512, so it may be more.
