  1. If youre too lame to drive RHD, then you should just buy a Coupe and swap all the driving bits and firewall with a LHD sedan. Then you get a LHD Coupe () and you can sell off the RHD sedan for a tidy profit.
  2. Ps. For anyone that heard my car in person, knows that it was pretty lame sounding. New exhaust made it better, but this Weber is magic. Just need to fine-tune the magic...
  3. Still needs adjustment. Here is how its running High at idle while in Park Way low at idle while in gear Smells way rich When I first got it adjusted right, idle at Park was good. Put it into gear and it died. So I bumped up the idle a little bit and I was fine. Drove it a couple blocks, came back, and as soon as I put it into gear, you could hear that idle was way too high. Ive also got a little bit of the carb running away after you release the throttle. Linkage isnt sticking as even when reving the linkage by hand and knowing it has returned to the idle position, the carb so revs up some. Car is drivable, but no where near where it should be.
  4. Youre going to need to define "Bluebird." Are you talking about imported 510s? Are you talking about any 510s? Referencing just the Coupes?
  5. OP hasnt been online for over a year...
  6. Ill know more in the morning. I had to buy some hose that fit that coolant line, then made dinner. Ill get up and have it running in the morning. If theres a leak, its going to be the gasket. The carb is a known good runner.
  7. That bitch is bullet proof.
  8. Now I know youre Reddit username...
  9. I would say Id be able to keep up, but if I make you drive alone you probably wont help on Monday...
  10. With my luck the gasket will hold, but Ill get a flat tire    :(
  11. Yeah Im sure with the coolant channels you cant be too careful on leaks. Im hoping it works. I have a fully functional temp gauge that I will be watching for the trip down along with some extra water just in case. I appreciate the backup.
  12. I didnt. I weighed my options and since the manifold came off pretty clean Im reusing it. My current plan is an L20 swap on Monday so this gasket only has to hold for one 45min trip to where Im doing the swap. Other than one test drive to make sure the carb is running right, I wont be driving it. I have a new gasket ready for a non-smog header with the new block. Ive already scheduled a couple times to look at the gasket after running it to make sure there isnt some leak I cant handle. I just didnt want to change the same gasket within a couple days of each other.
  13. Yeah, you have to carpool alone.
  14. They were a small diameter and raised up so I assumed thats what they were. I couldnt find anything small enough diameter to shove in there to test it out yet. Came in for a tooth pick and got sidetracked.
  15. Still need to do some tuning on the Weber to get everything going. Here are my current issues: Now that Ive removed the stock manifold/carb, where does this hose attach (I dont even know what its for)? I just need to get a piece of hose to connect this coolant hardline to the nipple on the Offy Looking at everyone elses Offy pics, these two holes are not on anyone elses. Im not sure if they go all the way through or if they are just threaded for some sort of bracket. Any thoughts?
  16. Hitachi and manifold off Weber and Offy installed Rabbit inserts arrived... now to get my struts shortened sometime soon
  17. Personally Im not a fan of any AW11. That top black one is the best Ive seen in awhile, but still not my cup of tea. Id much rather drive a MK2.
  18. Nope, youre totally right. :) Mistype, good catch.
  19. Interesting to hear that. Other than the larger wing, its a pretty subtle widebody.
  20. Evergreen Speedway in Monroe.
