Description

I have a complete R411 SSS engine (as far as I can tell), and trans.  I do have the head and valve cover, intake and carbs, air filter housing, for this engine, as well as the exhaust manifold.  The engine has the aluminum finned oil pan.  The trans also appears to have an aluminum finned cover as well.

 

This came out of a project 67 1600, that I am using for parts.  The motor was clearly not original to the car, as I have the data plate.

 

Not sure what to do with the engine.  Are there 411 guys out there that would want this engine.

 

Open to suggestions, as I do not want to scrap this engine.

The water pump and upper pulley confirm this is an RL411, not roadster, configured engine.  The exhaust manifold is definitely not an RL411 manifold, it has the wrong bolt up configuration for the slip joint RL411 connection.  Maybe some version of a roadster pipe?  You would need a cast aluminum valve cover to complete.

Yes:  I have the aluminum value cover.  It looks like a a regular Datsun 1600 Value cover.  IS there any interest in these motors.  I do not know what to ask for this engine / trans.   I wanted to see if there was any interest.

Really depends. This is a very small market, but rare parts. 

 

..and Mike told me how to fix my plug.
