I was quoted 1300.00 minus a few dollars. now i dont expect a freebie but i can buy a whole friggin 240sx with rear damage for that.

or a beat down truck with a ka 24e for way less then half that.

I found mine on zilvia.net for 330, with the ecu and harness. It needed a rebuild but I wanted one that I could have rebuilt any how. no tranny but you can source those easier than the engine.

check out crazedlist.org lets you search as many cities as you're willing to drive too. gl!

there is a guy on this forum, and the 510realm 280zforce I think is his handle. I think he may still be selling one complete that needs a new timing chain cover. Hit him up.

Crazian609, is a user on zilvia. this is a PM I got from him when I asked about an engine for sale less than a month ago.

"I Have 3.... I just blew mine that was running recently yesterday... Overheated and fried the piston rings.. that engine is complete S13 bottom with S14 head .... 10 psi on every cylinder.... I also have a stripped down Bare block and another S13 KA with a rebuilt Head"

they are out there, and are really a lot less than any yard is going to ask for.

you dont mind im sure :P

While u guys are thinkin bout this. What about sourcing an entire vg30et swap (motor, trans, ecu, harness)?

I was qouted 1500 from rancho nissan guys. Not many mid 80's 300zx's for sale that are turbo locally. Found one, hopin my tax return shows before he finds a buyer tho.

Screw it. Im just gonne get the whole deal from Rancho. Has anyone used them before for full swap motors? pros/cons?

Im thinking ill need to rebuild the motor anyway, possibly the trans.

I plan on using California Street Machine in Suisun for the engine rebuild depending on the numbers. I should be hearing back from them soon.

Noooo! Honestly, if you pay more than 700 for a full KA swap you're doing something wrong! If you're that desperate, I'll help you find something so you aren't getting ripped off!

For pricing purposes: http://zilvia.net/f/sale-items/241857-fs-1995-ka24de-5-speed.html

^That's a full swap, tranny, motor, harness, etc for 650. You'd be paying TWICE that for the same thing MINUS THE TRANNY!

PLEASE DON'T PAY MORE THAN $700 FOR A KA SWAP!! You're getting ripped off!

Haha, Hyphy... TOTALLY thought you were Lozer cuz you stole his thread. N0rcal, I dunno where you're located, but any of the links I posted could work for ya.

Disclaimer: Unless you know the person you're buying from or personally drove the car before the motor was pulled, I'd suggest a quick compression check in any motor you think about buying as well as resealing from the headgasket up, just to be sure.
