Kevin Desirello
Hi everybody I'm new to this forum but not to Datsun's. I have been into Roadsters for some time now and have come accross this. I do not know much about these trucks can you guys&gals enliten me. The vin plate says it is a 1960 plc221 vin plc221-0-00091 looks like it's all there just wrong wheels and some kind of earl schibe paint job from the 70's. The guy who is offering it to me said it did run 12 years ago. I have some pics how do I post them here. If I can't I will post some pics on the 311s site . Thanks everybody for any advice you can give me Kevin Desirello Quote Link to comment
fisch
Welcome! A 221! That's some rare stuff. Are you getting a sweet deal? Here is a link with a how to for posting photos here. But if you do post them on the 311 site, pass along the links! http://forum.ratsun.net/showthread.php?t=703 Quote Link to comment
Kevin Desirello
I posted some pics on 311s.org under general discussions 1959-60 Datsun truck. If any body could look and tell me if it is worth 1500.00 bucks that would be great. Kevin D. Quote Link to comment
fisch
Here ya go! It is a very rare truck. But $1500 might be a bit steep. If it were running and the brakes had all ready been gone through I might think about the $1500. Quote Link to comment
Kevin Desirello
Thanks for the help and getting the pics over here. Kevin D. Quote Link to comment

dat521kid
i kinda dig that bumper,, those centerlines on there? Quote Link to comment
bonvo
that bumper did not come on that truck period someone put it on there at some point in its life and i bet finding the original will be a bitch though a 320 could possibly pass Quote Link to comment
fisch
The 221's look like the bed is sitting higher that the 320's for some reason? Is it that the exterior walls didn't travel down as far outside the bed? Quote Link to comment
purple
Well, that is a PLG not a PLC. Hi Kevin, how ya been? My front bumper may be available later in the year,if I get around to making new brackets for my custom bumpers. The stock one is currently spray painted black and the crank guide hole (thats a piece that sticks up at the middle) and the overe riders are missing. The bed is smaller than the 222 223 and 320 models. It is shoter length and the sides do not continue down to match the cab. Edited February 9, 2009 by purple Quote Link to comment
Kevin Desirello
Thanks Purple, For the correction. Been good, Busy a lot of projects going all at the same time three Roadsters and one 240z. Do I know you? What do you think this truck is worth? The guy who owns it is set on getting 1500.00 for it. If I end up getting this truck how much do you want for the bumper. Kevin Desirello Quote Link to comment
purple
No, I was just being polite after my abrupt start. I don't know pricing well these days, but I sold my comnplete not running 59 L210 sedan for $1K. If this a a driver the price just depends on how much you want it. I'll sell the bumpber and brackets pretty cheap. Quote Link to comment
