Tommy Dat
Good afternoon All, I had the dash out to replace the dash pad. Before re-installing it I wanted to oil all the mechanism for the AC/Heater box. I have found that the guide on top is warped and that one of the spring bushings is missing all together. Trying to go through all the motions the guide jumps over the spring bushings and plastic lever pegs. I have found some nylon bushings that are a decent fit but I would like to remove the top metal-ish plate and bend it back down into shape. - is there a way to remove that top guide? - can I glue the nylon bushing to the plastic levers or do they need to turn through all of the movement? The fit is not perfect and I do not want them to come off of the peg. - are these mechanisms fairly duplicate in Datsuns? (can I use parts from another model?) thanks for your help Quote Link to comment

Len Robertson had one near Ritzville in eastern Washington. Quote Link to comment

Stoffregen Motorsports
I use Vaseline for greasing up the pivot points. It isn't as messy as grease and stays put.
