I'm rebuilding an L16 with a couple mild performance upgrades and I'm pretty much down to piston installation. What wrist pin retainers are best on a street engine. It's going to be in my daily driver. I know there are several kinds, spiralocks, snap rings, E clips, and teflon buttons. I was highly considering the teflon buttons, but haven't heard of anyone using them in an L Series. Edited February 23 by Dirttrack510 Quote Link to comment

If you've already done the work and the pins are floating, spirolocks are best, c-clips second best, buttons are dead last. They work great, but longevity and all that...
