Thaiyoon
I'm trying to rebuild the glovebox in my 1970 521 pickup. The old glove box was turning into topsoil inside the cab when I took possession of truck a few years ago. There were two brackets next to the pile that I'm trying to figure out where they go. Does anyone have a photo of what the brackets attached to the glove box look like and where they go? Both of them appear to have been riveted to the original glove box material. Here's a photo of the two in question. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Quote Link to comment

thisismatt
Those are the brackets for the under glove box parcel tray. The tray was made out of molded fiberboard on the later trucks. Earlier trucks had a metal rim with a flat fiberboard bottom Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
There's at least one guy making reproduction ABS versions of the molded fiber board tray Quote Link to comment

Thaiyoon
You guys are awesome! Thanks for the photo and description. Also, thanks thisismatt for the reference to an aftermarket tray. For now, at least I know my glovebox is complete. Thanks again! Quote Link to comment
