NPR Posted October 25, 2023 Report Share Posted October 25, 2023 Hey guys, I'm thinking of pulling out the J13 and replacing it with a L18 that I have. Will the L18 bolt up to the existing 4 speed on the tree? Will I need to move engine mounts? I k ow about taking out the radiator bracket. Cheers 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted October 25, 2023 Report Share Posted October 25, 2023 The frames are different where the engine mounts bolt to. You'll need a PL521 (L16 powered) or 510 transmission, the J13 bolt up pattern is different. It's likely that a later 610/710 four speed will also work. These are the same design and length. Radiator bottom hoses are on the opposite sides between J13 and L16/18/L20B 2 Quote Link to comment
