With the carburetor off now's the time to get rid of those injector pipes. Trim the pipes close to the nut on the exhaust manifolds so you can get a socket on there. When removed you'll find 4 or 5" of pipe that goes down into the exhaust port in the head. Get them out of there. Take one of the pipes to a hardware or fastener place and get a pipe plug. I think they are metric...
