Throttle cable replacement

Under the dash, detach the clip holding the ball end of the cable from the pedal.

 

Under hood, remove the two 10mm? bolts holding the throttle cable to the fire wall.

 

On intake unscrew the cable length adjustment. Have a care as screw and clip will separate from the holder bolted to the intake.

 

On Carburetor, by hand open the throttle and detach the other end of the cable. Cable assembly should be free to be removed.

The one you have is what is showing what came with your Datsun.Part number is 18200-04W10.The one with the 2 nuts is used by people with Webers so you can adjust the tension of the cable.My cable on mine is adjusted all the way in.Your's may work.I just put a new return spring on mine.I looked at NAPA and it shows nothing for a 80 model.

Yeah I gotta find the one with 2 nuts cause I tried everything with the other one and its just not working. Its like wayyyyyyyyy to tight lol
