Question about this. Isn't there a resistor between the tach and the coil? I am trying to set one up right now and I thought I had to get it spliced in at the other side of the resistor instead of directly to the coil am I wrong about that?

It's in the wire harness behind the left lamps near the coils. It's taped up and looks like a lump. I imagine all harness have them in place even if no tach.

So should I be connecting my wire on the other side of that resistor or is that not how it works I'm not an electricity wizard I usually try to stick to complex jobs way out of my depth like coloring inside the lines or eating paste you know? Lol sorry my sense of humor is weird this isn't meant to be anything but a way to laugh at me 😉

What I think I'm asking is do the coil resistor and tach need to be in sequence or is the fact that they are on the same circuit enough ... one more question. Do I need to have the old tach disconnected or does it matter?
