jluna94
Hi everyone, I’m on the search for a rl411 dipstick and housing. Reason why is that the block came from a roadster. So the the oil pan which I switched to the rl411 is inaccurate to read the oil level precisely. I’m getting the engine dyno . If by any remarkable chance some one has them and are willing to sell them. Please let me know, really appreciate. Take care as always. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
If dip stick is too long, drain oil pan and fill with the exact correct amount of oil. Mark the new correct oil level with a hacksaw. Cut off anything not needed. If dip sick is too short, rivet or weld on an extension and mark the new oil level. My dip stick tube had to be slightly bent to fit the starter on my L series. The solid dip stick would not fit through the bend so I cut most of it off and riveted a thin flexible Chevy dip stick onto the stub after some careful measuring. Can't tell till it's pulled out. You are the first one I've told. 1 Quote Link to comment
KELMO
Is it a 1.6 or 2.0 block? Now you've got me wondering about mine. Quote Link to comment
jluna94
It’s a 1.6, at the moment it’s at the shop. So I was told about this new info. So if there’s anyone who’s willing to sell, or knows one that’s identical that’ll fit into it. Really appreciate it Quote Link to comment
KELMO
This may or may not help... Mine has "12201" stamped in it which should be the end (last 5 digits) of the part # Edited October 17, 2022 by KELMO I really should have rotated those first. 1 Quote Link to comment
Greaser2
The 411 tube is about 78mm and the roadster tube is about 82mm Quote Link to comment
