Fuel sender ohm range

Quick question, my fuel gauge is reading off. It looks empty when at like 1/4 tank maybe and doesn't come off full for a long time. What is the correct ohm range to match the gauge in an 83 2wd 720 with a z20 carbureted engine (mileage option) I replaced the sending unit some time ago and the new one has never accurately represented the fuel level.

10 ohms or less is FULL

25 ohms is 3/4

40 ohms is 1/2

56 ohms is 1/4

80 ohms or more is empty.

The replacement is probably not an original Nissan part and so ?? who knows?? how it was put together or where. You could probably just bend the float lever down slightly.
