None_zero
Quick question, my fuel gauge is reading off. It looks empty when at like 1/4 tank maybe and doesn't come off full for a long time. What is the correct ohm range to match the gauge in an 83 2wd 720 with a z20 carbureted engine (mileage option) I replaced the sending unit some time ago and the new one has never accurately represented the fuel level. datzenmike
10 ohms or less is FULL 25 ohms is 3/4 40 ohms is 1/2 56 ohms is 1/4 80 ohms or more is empty. The replacement is probably not an original Nissan part and so ?? who knows?? how it was put together or where. You could probably just bend the float lever down slightly. Quote Link to comment
None_zero
Yes I'm just going to adjust the tabs to get the right range thanks mike Quote Link to comment
None_zero
So I'm getting 94 ohms at empty position and 24 ohms at full position, that's not really what I expected Quote Link to comment
None_zero
Or maybe it is what I expected. It's not an oem part but it is identical to the one I removed (visually)well I'll adjust it a bit and see if it solves the issue Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
If I have a choice, I always shoot for empty being accurate. Full doesn't matter so much. 1 Quote Link to comment
None_zero
So I've adjusted it around and I'm getting 7 ohms full and 86 ohms empty that should be close enough right? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Good enough. Quote Link to comment
